I hate Bryan Colangelo. Idc what he has done in the past he has ruined everything Hinkie has built that he could touch. Embiid and Simmons are off limits and he even brought him into discussions. Noel has the highest EVER steal % for a center and is close on block %. He is at worst a better tyson chandler that is 20 years old!! We got Bogut who isnt coming and Justin Anderson which is okay and 2 second round picks pretty much. Ersan goes for Tiago Splitter and 2 seconds when the Hawks offered Hardaway Jr before he started to blow up. Just bad management. Hinkie had some great pieces and got fired because of the record. If we were even a little better we dont have Embiid, Simmons, Noel, Okafor and Saric. We dont find gems in Covington and McConnel. Even Stauskas has came alive here. He offered Saric and our pick in 19 for Avery Bradley and was about to add Covington. I have no clue why Boston said no but I am glad they decided to stay put and get stingy. Probably cost them a chance to beat cavs

Wait, wait, wait. You honestly think getting Saric and maybe Covington while giving up Bradley would have given them a chance to beat the Cavs..... Also, lmao at praising that idiot Hinkie, dude was too busy drafting centers every year to be considered even an average GM

Yeah as said earlier...pretty sure Bird tanked the franchise today for the forseeable future. Hope I'm wrong.

If PG doesn't re-sign we're going to be in a much longer rebuild than if we traded him today. IDK what Boston offered but the rumor is that ownership felt like they had to listen to offers but Larry didn't.

Probably gonna trade PG for far less this off-season........ If we could somehow get a team to give us a good first round pick in this draft I guess I'd consider that a win.

Also apparently Simon was fully prepared and supportive of trading PG. Thought it since this past off-season but Bird needs to step down. He has just been throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks for two years now. And is too stubborn to get the best value for his players

Eh, I'm good with Turner going forward....... I'm not too excited about signing Teague long term. Its gonna happen and I like what Teague has done, but we need to retool around Turner. Having a point guard that is going to be on the wrong side of 30 in a year on a big contract doesn't fit that

I like Turner a lot, but I just don't see how we are supposed to retool around him without high draft picks. And I agree that giving Teague 16-20 mil a year isn't ideal, I'm terrified that we're about to be a fringe playoff team that won't be bad enough to get good draft position and can't attract any good players in FA. Nothing worse than being average in the NBA.

I could see a stupid team giving us a good draft pick for PG, then we could couple it with our current pick to get higher. At least that is my hope, all these Lakers rumors don't help.

I just think that we really could've had Brown and the 2017 Nets pick today. Rumor is Larry wanted 3 of Smart/Brown/Bradley/Crowder, that would mean Boston giving up 3 of their top 6 players for PG, that would make the Celtics worse. We won't get much in the off-season for a 1 year rental that likely won't resign.

The Pacers made a terrible decision not to trade PG. The future could've been bright with a couple young players and those draft picks. And this team is absolutely gonna lose in the first round of the postseason. I'm basically resigned to that fact. This franchise has no chance of contending this year or next year. PG gets traded on draft night

Probably could have, and thrown in only one of those other guys in the mix too....

I'm expecting/hoping some dumb team thinks they're only one guy away this off-season, and offers us a good but not great first, and a young guy that has either produced a lot but his potential is questionable or young guy that has a lot of potential but hasn't produced much before draft night. This draft is stacked so could get a higher pick or just get two high quality guys and hope one turns out like PG/Turner

we could trade him on draft night, but nobody in the top 5 would trade a top 5 pick for 1 year of PG.

For every guy with potential that works out, 10 just like him don't. Much better chance of success with Brown/Nets pick.

What are you talking about? Lol I said the Celtics wanted to stand pat aka not going after Jimmy or PG or Drummond who were all linked to them. Hinkie was an idiot huh? Lol he may have drafter Noel, Embiid and Okafor but only Okafor was a mistake at the TIME. D Russ went before they picked so it was him or Porzingis who doesnt help the glut either. If he didnt get one of them he would have reached majorly. Lets rewind though. Hinkie knew that tanking would get all these picks which in turn gave them two franchise players in Simmons and Embiid. Also he made the deal to swap with the Kings this year and 2019. Which both will be top 5 picks and knowing that Hinkie wanted to get a big FA last offseason but the FO didnt and wanted a different direction. He also got us the LA protected pick which even if we dont get it this year we get it unprotected next. So lets calculate. He got us Simmons, Embiid, Saric who if Embiid doesnt qualify gets ROY, Noel who we could have got more in a better trade, Okafor, he picked up McConnel who the Cavs, Lakers who were willing to give us Lou Williams for and the Mavs wanted and he was undrafted, also grabbed Robert Covington that was not drafted and now is one of our best players, will definitely have a pick in the top 5 maybe 2 in the next 3 drafts because of trades that didn't give almost anything valuable in return is a average GM? Sixer fans miss Hinkie so much and it hasn't even been a full year. If were gonna talk bad picks I could have a field day with the Pacers. Trading Kawhi for George Hill, picking a Plumlee over Draymond Green I mean those two alone are the DPOY candidates and no one in the next 5 years will move ahead of either. I would much rather us have top 8 picks than sign a bunch of has beens to keep picking in 12-22 range each draft like the Pacers. They have PG and that was an awesome trade but I am completely happy with Embiid and Simmons alone. Add in the picks that we have the next 3 years and after 2019 when all those picks are done ask come tell me Hinkie was a bad GM. Only way were not a top 4 seed in the east at that point is if BC ruins it and trades those picks.

Turner is the Pacers key moving forward not PG. PG only wants to be there if their contending and they wont be by next year so now they risk a whole lot. They probably get better value and sure things before or after draft. At least then they know exactly what pick it will be.
