FloridaHoosierGirl Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Well, this was a tough shooting night for Victor. He's having a lot of trouble finishing at the rim and he's not getting foul calls. He only got two free throws tonight and they were late. 15 PTS 6/18 5 REB 3 AST 2 STL 1 TO Win over Philly. IUsafety, Naturalhoosier, Napleshoosier and 1 other 4 Quote

FloridaHoosierGirl Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Anybody hear how Vic's doing? Update on Victor: Oladipo wasn’t allowed to go to the team facility on Thursday or Friday and he did not attend Friday night’s game. Oladipo won’t travel with the Magic to his native Washington, D.C. on Saturday and there is no firm timetable on his return. Several of the Magic’s players have visited with Oladipo to check up on him and make sure that his spirits remain strong.``He said he has a headache on a thousand in his words, but he’s doing much better,’’ said reserve guard Shabazz Napier, who made five 3-pointers and scored 22 points on Wednesday after Oladipo went down and he will likely see his playing time rise with the usual starting shooting guard out. ``I texted him multiple times to see if he’s all right and see if he needs some company, but he’s doing much better. That’s good to hear.’’ mamasa and LockdownD 2 Quote

FloridaHoosierGirl Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Victor played tonight, first game back after the concussion. He shot HORRIBLY! 1 PT 0-6 1-4 He played 20 mins. and the game went into overtime. They won and Skiles put him in for D in the OT 3 REB 2 AST 1 ST 1 BLK I really don't think, although cleared to play, that he is fully recovered from the concussion. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
FloridaHoosierGirl Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Just listened to Skiles post game interview and he said basically the same thing. He'll get better. He's giving him the benefit of the doubt. Naturalhoosier 1 Quote
LockdownD Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 I was disappointed in Vic's stat line, but I'm more concerned that his coach would want him playing when it's obvious his not healthy! Vic doesn't need pushed. His reputation of self-discipline and work ethic has got him where he is today. Take care of yourself, Vic. Crimson and Cream, Naturalhoosier and FloridaHoosierGirl 3 Quote
FloridaHoosierGirl Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 https://www.facebook.com/OrlandoMagic/?fref=ts Funny bit with Victor playing HEADS UP with Elf. Quote
FloridaHoosierGirl Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Victor had a good first half, but the second half not so good. In fact he didn't score at all. Ended the game with 11PTS 4/11, 2/5 from 3, 1/2 FT 6 REBS 4 AST 25 MINS Quote
FloridaHoosierGirl Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Victor had a good 1st half against Cleveland, but then he and the the whole team imploded. 25 min. 10PTS. 5/12 3 REB. 2 AST. 1 STL. 1 TO Quote
kbhoosiers Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 .@OrlandoMagic will start Payton at PG, Fournier at SG, Harris at SF, CFrye at PF & Vucevic at C. Victor Oladipo will be used off the bench. Hasn't been the same Vic since the concussion. Maybe this will give him a spark. Prilla the Thrilla 1 Quote
Prilla the Thrilla Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Fournier is playing insanely well in a contract year for him I believe and averages 38 minutes per game. Payton and Oladipo need the ball to make things happen, so splitting them up was the goal. Always thought he would be a better initiator in the NBA anyways, let's see what happens. kbhoosiers 1 Quote
FloridaHoosierGirl Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 http://www.nba.com/magic/news/skiles-searching-best-lineups-and-rotations It's really Elf that isn't doing well. Victor continues to play excellent defense just having trouble scoring consistently. We are headed to the game soon. Hope he turns it around today. FloridaHoosierGirl Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Just got home and Victor had a great game! 24 PtS. in 26 Mins. 5/15 FG, 13/15 F +14 4 REB 2 AST He shut down both players that he guarded and got to the line more than he has all year. One of his missed shots was a last second heave to end the half and another a slam that went in and out. So those two would have made his percentage look better. They won 100-91 against the Knicks.
