Incarnate Word is not a Big Ten team.

That was meant as a joke so relax.  No body is wanting any of the players on this team to fail, but at the same time that doesn't mean we have to believe some of them are Big Ten caliber; like when their only other offers in May of their senior year were from the likes of Incarnate Word.

Well his only offer was from Incarnate Word, but he has the potential to be the kind of player that thrives at a place like Wisconsin for example. No one has flat out said they want Priller to fail but at the same time, a few people on here are already counting on him being gone next year. I think the kid has potential. It was only a preseason game and not a big ten caliber team but the game that was broadcast from Canada, Priller was one of the kids that hustled the most. Also, he can flat out shoot. He has an awkward shot but it goes in. He could start out being a situational type player this year to hit a three at different moments. I don't know though, I'm not the coach. There are players every now and then that I don't necessarily care for , but more often than not, I try to look at the best of the situation.

i have no Idea about that .I just think Fischer should have been playing the double post with Vonleh and He probably did too.

very true. I don't recall even 1 minute those two played at the same time. Would have been fun to watch but it just isn't crean unfortunately.

What do you mean by tiny? I met Priller and Holt Saturday and thought Priller was a legit 6'9 and Holt a legit 6'7. If you mean girth, yeah Priller is a twig. I honestly didn't think Holt was built too bad. Both extremely cool guys though.

Troy's mom's online.i bet Jeremiah and Tim's family have the internet too.
Lets get off this ,Please.

I fully understand that thought and think it's caring, but in reality, Indiana is a high profile basketball institution. If parents don't WANT to know the THOUGHTS and OPINIONS of the fans, then don't peruse the message boards.

I generally think the banter of the fanbase is very accurate about individual players. I LOVE Troy's game and potential BUT I was really hard on him in the message boards about cleaning up his handles, turnovers, etc. I also understood he was a Freshman and was forced into a difficult position. I always thought and knew he'd be a star. But I was really hard on him and I think it was accurate. It sounds like he worked really hard to improve in these areas. Everyone wins.

I have rant and raved about the pluses and minuses of Yogi's play too. Mostly positive but I was honest about his performance too. I was and am still tough on Hartman. Hard to say now with the injury.

Bottom line. This is a message board, and in my opinion an area to be critical of players on the court performances. It should never be personal but as long as it's honest, it's the nature and intention of the message boards.

Whoa. I didn't realize Max was that tall. I thought he was 6'6" but he seems more like a 6'8" in relation to Hanner. And Holt is wide in the shoulders and looks strong in that pic

Max is a LANKY 6'8 and maybe even 6'9. Dude looks like a light pole with arms and legs.

Just so everyone is aware, there is about a two inch platform that everyone else is standing on and Hanner is not. Just for everyone predicting height.

I"m not talking about critiquing a current player like Troy. I'm sure moms heard about the handles.I just cant believe people would criticize a kid they have never seen before they play a game in the Hall.

If they stink up the place then I might be of different mind.

I gotcha. I understand the predictions though, based on analysts, the game(s) in Canada, the offer list, the Jump Ball, etc...

I call a spade a spade based on the information at my disposal. I would ABSOLUTELY love this or any other kid to come out and prove all the doubters wrong.

I think it's unfair to act like we don't have information to make an educated prediction though.

Same Here. I totally understand the reason people look at these signings and say WTF. I was one of them. i just think the kid ought to be given a chance to prove us wrong.Sorry if that came across as self righteous.Didn't mean to.I'm a little sensitive tonight!! :help:

Someone mentioned Max. I feel like he is the forgotten one in this freshman class. Everyone seems super excited about JBJ and RJ and many not too high on Priller and April. I guess holt can be thrown in with Max as a kind of neutral pickup if you will but not much has been said about Max and he could be special. I don't know if he will live up to this, but he has a lot of similarities in his game to watford. 6'8" stretch four that can shoot the long ball. Needs to get stronger but wat came in a string bean too. Isn't crazy athletic but athletic enough to play at this level much like Watford. I remember being so frustrated with watford as a freshmen and sophomore but he played really well for us his last two years and if Max sticks around and works hard he could play a similar role.

Does he remind you a bit of Brian Evans? For some reason he does me.

Lets hope so.

Holt and Priller came up and talked to my roomate and I the other day and I have seen the two of them together many times. I thought it was kind of weird that they would be such good friends

I think Max is a little more athletic than Watford. Wat had a great shot but definitely wasn't the most athletic dude. But they do fit a similar role. Crean calls it the "trailer". The one who inbounds the ball and is the last up court and then be able to catch and shoot the 3. Crean noted talked about Watford and Max both being that type of player

yeah, maybe. Evans had a really good mid range game. Shot the three ball and played with his back to the basket too but his mid range jumper was sweet. Don't know if Max has that in his arsenal yet. Loved Evans game. Guy maxed out his potential

I like this comparison. I look forward to seeing Holt and Max in action. I remember the 1st time I thought Max was a good under the radar signing. His play was Very good at the derby classic. He won the 3 PT comp. His team got smashed but he was pretty smooth and very effective. Voted fan favorite, I believe too. That was the day, I thought Max may be a very solid 4 year type guy. PLUS he's got a FLAMETHROWER!

When did this happen? I saw him in Canada after the "ankle injury" and he was walking around just fine with no crutches. After the 4th or 5th game I said at the time that I was afraid of another Peter Jurkin type "injury"-- i.e. not good enough to play.
