You and me both man. The PG position is the one I am worried about the most over the next year or two. Hopefully for next year if JT3 doesn't get fired the abundance of wings will allow a Senior RoJo to move back to the 1 full time. A PG is a must soon. I do think Tucker is the type to thrive in our system. His shot from range needs work. Dribbling too. But the things he needs to do better at kids typically come in and improve.

Oh for sure. Nova can make a really strong case for themselves too. I was just saying that I think his visit here went as well as possible and if he doesn't end up coming here that there isn't much else we could've done to get him here.

Man I really didnt want reminded of that!! Him & Goodluck were two of my favorite recruits we have went after. Even ones we have gotten. Goodluck probably has a different story than the unlv story.

Senior RoJo is my PG next year regardless if I was Crean. He is very good with the ball in his hand and would give him easier scoring options. RoJo could be all B1G next year. Laugh if you want but that kid is a stud. So glad he wears our uniform and not UNC's

I did not get a chance to watch our last game (RoJo shot very well) but I think he needs to be more aggressive offensively. Not crazy, but he can hit a lot of shots and as our 4th or 5th option on offense will often have other teams weaker defenders on him.

I would like to see him in our top 3-4 scores consistently

Rob really hasn't been given the opportunity. It has been Newkirk for the bulk.

It comes down to Newkirk learning to be a pass first PG.  What this specific team needs IMO is a PG that has the court vision to get it inside when the window is there and or build his game into being able to get into the teeth of the defense and you guessed it....kick it out.  Newkirk has the speed to cut thru the defense.  Now his decision making needs to match his speed.  Just my opinion.  But anyway, about Jordan Tucker.....

The longer this recruitment goes the worse it is for us. We have all the momentum, but anyone that follows recruiting knows how quick it can change. The main good thing for us in that scenario is that we are the leaders after both visits. Being in Georgia makes unofficials hard for either school, so we should be okay. Still hope this ends in the next 2 weeks or I will start sweating.

Wheeler participating in the Tournament of Champions Holiday Classic and tonight defeated Whitefield Acad. 83-60.  Tucker with 14 pts. and 9 reb.  Play again on Friday.

Wheeler beaten by McEachern 77-67 in the championship game.  Horrirfic shooting night for Tucker as he was only 1-12 on FG's and 0-6 on 3's.

He had some Summer games that went that way too. I was always down on him because his AAU performances weren't consistent and contained several bombs.

His games this season in HS have been decently solid but not dominant.

9. Where will Jordan Tucker land?

The 6-foot-7 wing from Marietta (GA) Wheeler is down to Indiana and Villanova and recently took official visits to both, which he described here.

Tucker, who transferred to Wheeler from White Plains (N.Y.) Archbishop Stepinac for his senior season, will be looking at location a bit, because of the amount of family he has in the New York area.

“I’ve been away for a while, and I’d kind of like to have my family be able to see me play,” said Tucker, ranked No. 38 by ESPN.com “Indiana plays a lot of games in the Northeast, the Big Ten Tournament is in the North, and they played North Carolina at the Barclays. It could work either way. I don’t want to focus on location by itself, but I do want to find what the best fit is for me.”

Looking towards the timetable for his decision, he’s going to be looking at making a decision within the next month or so.

“Either January or early February for me I think,” Tucker said. “I’m just looking to see who’s ready to leave as well as playing time.”

Sounds like Tucker really loves IU but is torn about playing so far away from home. Maybe he's homesick playing in Georgia right now?

Is Jordan Tucker really any better than Zach Gunn? I am the furthest thing from a talent evaluator but I've read that Tucker might be overrated and has been struggling while Gunn has developed very well and producing. I'd almost rather take the chance on Gunn than worry he blows up for someone else and live with the regret we passed up such an instate talent.

What does everyone else think on Tucker vs. Gunn?
