Perea not with Team due to VISA issues

Crean definitely dodges the blame a lot but that's who we're stuck with. I mean we are stuck with Obama too and there isn't anything that can be done about that either for two more years. I'm still excited for the season no matter what. Got to be positive or we will all end up bitching all the time and that is just silly. There will be ups and downs always but I still love this team and I think there's potential there. Crean's there and I will believe in him until he's been replaced because that's what we got. GO HOOSIERS.

No one on here (unless they haven't spoken up), knows what is going on with the Visa issue for Perea. HMPs travel restrictions very well could have been something the staff knew of for a long while now and didn't let the public be aware of. Maybe it is just a a total oversight by the staff and a very very big sign to the incompetence on the part of the BBall staff whose job it was to secure travel arrangements for the team. We really don't know though, and we can't pretend like we do. Yes, we should be alarmed though as this can be extremely damaging to HMPs development. Regardless, this is all getting out of control on this forum now. lets all not forget that this unfortunate event happened and we as fans should hold the BBall staff accountable if HMP isn't able to produce this year for our Hoosiers. BUT, I think it would be in everyone's best interest if we used this thread to focus more on investigating and illuminating why HMP's visas were denied, as well as looking to see when HMP will be able to join the rest of the squad, if at all, for the remainder of the trip up north. Let's move this thread to a direction of information sharing about the issue, even though it's very alarming and disappointing. P.S. this bourbon is strong.

So this is the reason why Hanner didn't make the trip or are you speculating like the rest? If you are correct then I think you answered my question for me. Why not just state the facts or stay home as a team if you know this was a problem? Crean is in the business of team building as well as telling our fans and alumni the truth regarding players as it relates to discipline, academic or non hippa related reasons why they won't be playing. Or is this another "Jeremy needs to get his focus back" type of reasons?

If they did their jobs they would have made sure everything was done long before hand. Either way whether he was going to go or not it's something that should have known long ago. If you were the boss somewhere and your staff kept not doing their jobs would you defend them or fire them? When you're paid millions of dollars I don't think it's too much to ask that they do their jobs.

I can say the same thing. You're defending them but we don't know what happened.
For all we know they could have screwed up. It's not one thing it's multiple things that continue to build.

After reading the comments above for the last 15 minutes, I just hope that the team gets to the NCAA Tournament.

 

I want to see what all of those fans/commenters that hate Crean have to say as they eat their words and sometimes long paragraphs.  Why be so negative and instead look at the positive things on this team.  Crean has gotten a lot of talent together and I am just hoping that those of you I'm writing about are big enough to be willing have a good dinner next spring.

 

Crean knows the value of everyone playing as a team during these practice games.  He saw the loss we had last year when Ferrell and Will missed out by playing in Europe and knows that Hanner needs this playing time. 

 

I am hoping that he gets up there for the Monday game and also that Jeremy is able to play.

Not blaming you or any other posters. Or the coaching staff for this matter. Stuff happens but why is it always CTC's fault. Maybe there are times when you should just be happy with what you have now. The next coach may not be the savior your looking for either or may be worse. All I'm saying is a lot of people on here do nothing but bash Tom Crean the moment anything goes wrong. Then they bitch about him all season. The season hasn't even started yet and here they go Tom Crean is a moron. Tom Crean is incompetent. Doesn't it get old to bitch and grip all of the time about something that we have no control over? This is unfair and incorrect. Dalton has NO personal impact on the IUBB team, unlike things in his own life. In his own life, he can adjust, compensate, communicate, and all sorts of other tools to solve problems. He likely doesn't "blame others" in his own life, he just fixes problems as any mature adult would do,

Alternatively, bad decisions have been made surrounding IUBB, by not only Crean, but others too, including the players personal problems. He is putting "blame" on those directly involved in those decisions, and not just Crean. The IU staff DESERVES a lot of BLAME for LAST season!

However, this is a NEW season, so Crean and company get another chance to prove themselves.

And boy oh boy it looks like Troy Williams is sure going to help in that regard.
