I had to work so I missed it. My DVR messed up too so I didn't get to see anything.

That sucks. Defense was real good, Luck was off until the fourth quarter really. Still trying to figure out sitting Shipley in favor of Harrison

Unfortunately I work every Sunday for the foreseeable future. I heard about that. If I remember correctly Shipley has rated pretty high at center so far.

So much happened in this game...

1) Colts going for it on 4th and 1 at the Raven 21 and getting stopped…I thought they were given a horrible spot and it should have been a first.

2) Very next play, receiver fumbles. I'm surprised that call stood. In this day and age where every  play is dissected and every rule is overanalyzed, officials usually want to see a catch, control and some kind of move before they rule it a completion.

3) Ravens drive 92 yards, from their own 4 to the Colts 4, and come up with nothing as the Colts stop them on 4th and 1.

4) Colts have the ball for nearly 9 minutes, defensive holding against the Ravens gives the Colts a first down after they make a field goal, Luck has a touchdown taken off the board on a BS offensive pass interference call on Reggie Wayne when Luck threw to T.Y. Hilton. Colts had to settle for a field goal anyway.

5) Colts' defense forces two three and outs on the same possession to start the second half. I say that because that was one of the worst PI calls I've ever seen on third down. Vontae Davis then said "**** you refs, try and flag that" and picked off Flacco, leading to a touchdown and a 13-3 lead.

6) Luck picked off at the goal line on a play where I thought he should have just thrown it away. On third down that close to the end zone, just eat it and take the three points. He tried to fit it into an impossibly small window and it never had a chance.

7) Defense comes up with yet another three and out. Ravens punt, Whalen muffs it. Defense holds again. Only a field goal for the Ravens after they started at the Colts' 12.

8) Luck overthrows Fleener on third and long, Reggie is in the right place at the right time for the first down catch. Luck then runs in a touchdown.

9) Ravens answer immediately, going 80 yards in just 4 plays, aided by yet another pass interference penalty.

10) Two minute warning, Colts need to run only three dive plays and kick a field goal and they have it won. Bradshaw inexplicably fumbles fighting for extra yards, Ravens get it back with two timeouts left.

11) Fourth and 3, Ravens convert. Next series, Toler lays out to break up a pass on 4th and 3 and the Colts finally win.

That game was pretty draining, to say the least.

This game also showed how good Luck is becoming. I thought to myself, "Man, he looks like a rookie again today." Then I check the box score after the game and he's completed 64% of his passes, had 300+ yards again and should have had two touchdown passes.

The offense seemed to lack any flow, but I blame the officiating. There were way too many flags in this game.

perfect breakdown. Wild game. I was listening on the radio and the announcer said "this is one of the craziest, strangest games I've seen". My wife, not much of a sports fan, says that's a really bold statement. I watched it back on DVD. That announcer exaggerated a bit, but not a long stretch. Really was an odd game. Glad we won.

I'll never understand why Whalen is back there or really on the roster anymore. Dude can't crack the offensive rotation, so we stick him back to return punts when he isn't nearly fast or athletic enough to make a play.

Because the Colts love them some Stanford Cardinal.

Griff is averaging 30 yards per kickoff return.  Perhaps he's not as bad as you think back there

Starting in the back of the end zone (which has been the case on three of his four kick returns) and averaging 30 yards means he's reaching the 21 or 22.

I can't tell if you're actually serious about that statement

Hell I don't know anymore.  This is a weird thread.

What a different Colts year this has been.  We're kicking onsides early in games, going for it on fourth down multiple times while within Vinatieri's range, double reverses to Hilton....we're running a much more aggressive offense this year than last.....or any year since before the Dungy conservative offenses.

So far so good I guess.  Go Colts.

Luck is a goofy ass dude during the games:

My favorites are asking before the last drive, "Do we want to score, okay okay stay in bounds, if you can score, then score." Lol this seems so simplistic to me as a fan.

Then quickly followed by "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god.......... (takes helmet off and speaks into it) survive this, survive this." Right after Bradshaw fumbled the ball

You can tell he just truly enjoys playing football. Some players may look at it as just a job but I don't see that with Luck. I love how amped up he stays all game long too.
