Hollowell & Etherington transferring..

Recommended Posts

A little insight...Earlier this year in practice, Noah was throwing up during sprints. Crean says,"Noah can sit out... he is our hardest working player!" Sheehey yelled, "no he's not!" The gym got quiet ..Crean responds, "yes he is" again an immediate response from Will "no he's not !! " Crean finally ends it with "shut up Will, just shut up" and the sprints continued, without Noah. This was comical at that time.
I would like to know the source(s)... I can't imagine any coach telling their players that they won't amount to anything in life and be broke and divorced. If that's the case, you'd think guys who actually played and were difference makers would be the first ones out the door. Why would Yogi or Troy Williams, who could play pretty much anywhere, stay? This doesn't add up.
makes sense to me crean is upset takes it out on people he dont care about so they leave giving him more options. I dont agree but makes sense. Why would troy and yogi stay well he treats them different one has talent the other will b good all of us see that. I think we should look at creans transfers a bunch of underachieving guys is about it so the term creaning may have some truth

This sounds like the interactions with my friends, though I'm guessing it wasn't nearly as intense as this....... also we probably throw some other words in

Today Crean is happy "there is addition by subtraction!" "There is different energy already". His birthday dance on a chair ..a team tradition under Crean.. All 6 of them and coaches sang happy birthday ... Really good chance Eron Harris is really liking IU.

He's the head coach at Indiana University and you're saying that he doesn't have the credentials to yell at his players. wow

No, I did not say he didn't have the credentials. I said it wouldn't be received in the same way as an ass chewing from Bob Knight. With Knight, most kids figured "it was for their own good" or "I probably had this one coming" or any number of other responses, but they typically wouldn't have just assumed the coach was wrong for having done it, or offended at what he said to them. Yes, I'm sure it was humiliating and probably maddening and embarrassing for them. Still, with Knights record of achievements backing him, their response would have been far more favorable, accepting, forgiving, than the responses Crean's players are likely to have to his recent outburst. He hasn't the credibility yet, and he's losing more of it by the day.

To be fair, I think a lot of IU fans felt "it was for their own good".  I can't recall a kid ever thinking someone screaming obscenities at them was for their own good.  Knight had a presence that very few do.  I am not a fan of Knight comparisons because there are literally 2 other people I would use in the same sentence as that man.

hey basketball4u, I appreciate the insider info...it makes for great reading and connection to the
program...
my question for you is this...is there any chance you catch some backlash for disclosing
closed door information?? it probably won't be hard for anybody on the inside to figure out
who's leaking stories from the crypt...

either way...thanks for your input...great stuff.

Lol, true story.  The man, the myth, the legend, the owner was tweeting Noah Vonleh when he got his new account.  Our guy wanted him to tweet a picture with the BTB logo to show it was him.  He did and IUH41 put in on here.  Pretty quickly we got in touch with IU Compliance.  They wanted us to pull it because it can be construed as advertising.  As we speak I am sure they are trying to figure out your scenario.  I am guessing it won't take too long.  Lol.  Enjoy it while it lasts cause this isn't an everyday thing.

Just a wild guess:

General George S. Patton and Jaybob?

I know he enjoyed Will the player.  I hope he doesn't quit bringing Will the person due to his issues.  His attitude has been great for the environment at IU.

Yeah I would certainly be careful if I were you.  Whether yourself or a family member works for the university or athletic department, if they figure out the information you've been disclosing and can tie it back to you and/or said family member I think someone would probably lose their job.  This message board is extremely public.

This, in a nutshell, crystallizes why Will Sheehey may have been CTC's favorite Hoosier player.

I thought you were going to go a much, much darker route with how you started your first statement. Then you just went with probably lose their job, which is good compared to what I was thinking

Some things get leaked for reasons. Just like politics. Just like the story on transfers and stuff I posted today. I was told I could share it...

I've heard admin isn't happy with what has been happening, and this would certainly go along those lines of leaking pieces of info to let the fan base know that things may even be worse than they appear... Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

Good Question: I guess there is a time and place to share...I pretty much know what would be unacceptable or would be poor timing...I am just trying to give insight. With that said...most likely no one would connect me but never say never.
