The Walking Dead Thread 2.0

My bad, that's what I meant by the Neegan comment.

For Carol, someone on the Talking Dead that it seemed like she sort of saw herself in the crazy red head lady. Makes a lot of sense because Carol would kill anybody potentially hurting the group without regard. I really think Morgan's impact is a lot bigger than what has been led on so far.

I do think Carol and Glenn are gone this season.

That could be part of it.  I think there may be some internal conflict with Carol right now anyway, she's killed so many people (including a child) and it's catching up to her.  That kind of world would take a serious toll on a person.

The group could use time where they can recharge and deal with the personal demons that have cropped up.  They're much more aggressive than they used to be, understandably so (I mean Rick killed a guy, then just said "what?" while covered in blood); the line between the good guys and the bad guys is getting extremely blurred and it wouldn't always be clear anyway.

Well the red head lady was right, Carol and Rick's group are murderers at this point. We, as viewers, side with them partly because we have seen their struggles and how much they have suffered since the beginning. But we really haven't seen what the other groups went through or we may have also sided with some of them a little. It's pretty interesting how the show moves around this big morality compass.

I have to admit, the last two episodes have soured me a little.  I used to see the group as a small island of good adrift in the big ocean of bad.

Sure they were bad A$$ when they needed to be, but they never sought out the conflict, they simply reacted. I have always told my kids:  "If someone tries to pick a fight, don't throw the first punch, but try your hardest to throw the last...."

Call me pollyanish or whatever adjective you want, but I use TV for enjoyment, and I enjoy the good guy winning over evil.  Now I am quickly losing that feeling in regards to this show.

I believe Rick and the group are doing the right thing. They understand that this Neegan group is bad ju-ju and want to do more harm than good. they remind me of ISIS in that they believe they are doing the right thing. Remember, they showed their hand when they stopped the truck and was about to kill everyone for the hell of it. That gave Rick the evidence that they are indeed ruthless. Hell, he even gave the group a vote whether to eliminate them or risk being taken over by the Negganites. Yes, the group is taking a butt-load of food from the hill folks but still is intent on an even-ish trade. Not just taking because they are more powerful. He is even going to trade weapons and ammo. That is pretty B/A.

Our group is out of control. Too many people just leaving the community like it's no big deal, and then others running off to chase them. Now it's got Daryl and the group in major trouble. The Saviors seem to have an equally large if not larger group themselves so hopefully this all gets handled in the season finale.
