Between Beth (Emily Kinney), Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Rosita (Christian Serratos) and Sherry this show had some excellent casting choices.

Rick is still in there, somewhere deep inside.  When Negan went after the second walker and turned his back thru zoomed in on Rick's hand and he started to grip Lucille a bit tighter, like he saw an opening.

I could be reading too much into it but that's how it looked to me.

Frankly I'd tie him to a tree, outside the walls and a ways off, and give Lucille to Maggie and let her swing away.  If she didn't kill him first then the walkers could finish the job.
