If You Are Coach, Who Is In Your Starting Line-up Saturday?

Recommended Posts

I'm sure you wouldn't have said this after he got us into the sweet 16 with that baseline jump shot against VCU. One bad game don't mean anything, everybody is over reacting saying he is a better a 6th man, well it is what he has done these past two years because he wasn't good enough to start on those teams. However, now he is good enough to start. CTC is the reason he played bad last game anyway, he put him on the wing and corner when he should be right on the foul line so he can hit his mid-range jumper. Stay calm people, he is also the only reason we beat LIU.

You're right. I wouldn't have said that, but I'm not sitting Sheehey for poor play. He displayed very poor leadership against Cuse and I think he should sit. I'll place him right back into the starting line-up after this game.

Yogi

Will

Troy

Noah

Gordon

To me if we are trying to be the athletic run on everybody team we need to go with this lineup. Will & Gordon will be able to display the leadership and this opens all our options... Noah inside, Yogi on the perimeter (as a worst case scenario), Will work the midrange, Troy slashing, and let Evan run the point.

I think this would be the most consistent lineup and allow us as a team to come out strong (as we are not going to be good playing from behind this year).

Great stuff so far guys.  I'm really curious to see if Coach will send a message to the team on Saturday.  I still can't believe the team had the mindset that they didn't think they could win against Syracuse.  I had that thought cross my mind once in a baseball game I pitched in.  I got lit up.  I vowed to never do that again, and I was dominant every time out after that.  I just don't get how players can think that, esp. the team that we have!

Yogi

Jeremy

Troy

Devin

Noah

Jeremy made two very nice drives in the second half not long after he made a turnover driving left side.  My point is he went right back to driving which is what this team needs to continue doing despite the occasional blocks made by the second line of defense.  Love his length & I believe he will be stroking that three come tournament time.  Coach mentioned recently that Vic was only shooting about 30% this time last year and in turn finished very strong.  I have hopeful anticipation that Jeremy will do the same.   This is an awesome group to watch develop.

Natural's squad can have mop up minutes in the B1G tournament.  Until then, we have some serious development to do so Jaybob should not get too excited about any possibility of playing point. :rtfm:

I agree with you here.  There were several times the footwork  didn't show an overwhelming amount of confidence in the second half.  They will be fine.  Much like your finish in baseball. Congrats.

We started a cheer team, with HoosierReb being the captain. He loves wearing those cheer skirts.

Wait now we know what outfit you're trying to squeeze into. It's a cheerleading outfit.
