Indiana vs. Syracuse Post-Game Thread

He kills us, he is just a selfish player imo.

Nah, Crean wants him to do what he is doing.  IMO, it is lazy as a coach to have a player take bad shots, because your offense isn't good enough to get better shots.  I am a huge Crean fan, but that is on him to get players in better positions.  Yogi is no Bracey Wright.  He is doing what he is told.

Why does Crean keep his time outs under lock & key? I never understand why he keeps them.

I think he has a vault that he keeps them in, and one day he will open it up and........... I don't know, do something.

Edit: I thought I had a joke, but yeah, I didn't..... I'm sorry
food, basketball, you not calling me out for no reason on message boards... I could go on.
I along with others call you out because you do nothing but constantly b***h on here every day over and over about nothing. You never say a good thing about the team. I've never in my life seen a so called fan of a team constantly talk bad about the team they claim to like. The next positive thing you say about IU will also be the first. What also makes it worse is the fact that not only do you throw hissy fits but you will post dang near the same thing 5 times in a row. It gets old.

I will agree with that.  I don't think so either.  I think he could score 10-12, but it should be more efficient.  If Yogi shooting 15 times is the best we can do, we are in trouble.  That means we are getting out coached, and beat more times than not against better teams.  Atleast, it will be that way this year.  Yogi is no Jordan Hulls.  Even our best shooters didn't shoot this much.  They looked for the best shot.  Crean wants Yogi to do this.  I don't get that.

I agree. I wouldnt even so much mind yogi shooting so much as long as they are shots at the rim. The constant jumper after jumper wont cut it.

Losing to #4 'Cuse at the Carrier Dome with primarily players who are still figuring it out?

It's OK...and I like our team.

A lot.

I'm a bit worried about a team when a coach believes his players didn't expect to win. Love the talent and potential of the sqaud though.

Yogi has to be a scorer this year...that's the thing. Besides Vonleh, nobody can create any offensive looks for themselves besides Yogi and our defense is not good enough to hold teams to 50. Yogi HAS to score, just be thankful he learned to shoot.

Not a big Sheehey fan at all. Not a huge Yogi fan either, but I like him a lot.

Glad Crean didn't call a timeout and let his players sit and take their beating.

never been a sheehey fan ever, just my opinion. Yogi is good but i think since hes the more experienced guy hes trying to fill the void wherever he can. he needs to figure out if hes a shooter or distributor, which hes doing now but needs to find out fast. Also call me an idiot cuz im new to the college basketball scene, i thought you had to have 2 personal flagrants to be ejected not 2 team flagrants to be ejected

Freshmen in the Carrier Dome get cold feet?

No revelation there.  It's not good news, but it is to be expected and will work itself out by mid-season.

I'm much more concerned with our lack of a consistent three point threat. That may not work itself until next year.

But defensively?  We're already almost there.
