Are top players not allowed to visit anywhere other than IU?

Pap any word on why he is transferring?

Nope. Seems to be a few others leaving NC as well but not sure how related they all are.

In regards to the UL thing...the Gordon's are going to allow and encourage Eron to go through the process, so definitely expect him to take his visits and such. Not sure how many of the big boys will pull the trigger but there will be interest and I'd fully expect him to take a look around, as he should, imo.

Shopping around is smart, but still dislike the competition haha.

Eron would complete the trilogy that is the Gordon's, at IU. All of them from our state's capital too, right in the heartland. So freakin awesome. He would get crazy amounts of love from the fans.

Evan, who is helping his brother with his recruitment, said it would be “cool” and “great” if Eron decides to follow in his brothers’ footsteps and play at IU, too.

“I’d never rule out a school that I think is a great school,” said Evan, who earned a master’s degree in sports administration at IU and is now pursuing a career as a sport agent.

“The athletic department, the coaching staff (are good). I liked (assistant) coach (Kenny) Johnson before he left and went to Louisville,” he said. “(Assistant Tim) Buckley, I worked with him very closely when I was there.

“The coaching situation might change. ... It all just depends on the coaching situation and who’s coming back and who’s leaving. It all just depends on that.”

Just saw on twitter that Eron has been ruled ineligible by the IHSAA after his transfer to Cathedral.

Thanks for the info.

IHSAA commissioner Bobby Cox said in a message to the Star on Friday that Gordon, a 6-2 junior-to-be, was deemed ineligible due to a transfer "primarily for athletic reasons" as stated under Rule 19-4 of the IHSAA by-laws.

Cox said Gordon's parents have submitted a written appeal to the IHSAA's decision. A hearing date has not yet been set. If the decision holds, he would be ineligible for 365 days from the start of his enrollment at Cathedral.

Wayne asked a question on Eron in another thread a few days ago. This is about a week old and the latest. No date has been set on this yet.
