Class of '66 Old Fart Posted Friday at 01:44 PM Posted Friday at 01:44 PM Red Klotz had a better winning % than the NCAA! iykyk Kentucky judge has denied NCAA request for emergency relief. Significant case with high profile basketball names. Quote
go iu bb Posted Friday at 02:53 PM Posted Friday at 02:53 PM I wonder if this obstinance will backfire on the NCAA. They're not going to get the bill they want from Congress, so all this chaos they're creating just highlights for everyone how unfair and incompetent they are. I could see them dropping even further in the public's opinion. Someone in PR should let them know that they should give up soon. BannerVille 1 Quote

Baker may not have been put in charge of the NCAA with the goal of destroying it from the inside, but if he was what exactly would he be doing differently? AZ Hoosier 1 Quote

Is it even possible for their image to improve in the eyes of the public? The NCAA is a trash organization and has been for many years. They need to be put out to pasture and replaced with an organization that cares about more than cashing the checks and losing suits in courts. skhoosier2 1 Quote

I'm sure they're gonna have other issues to sort far ahead of some crappy bill to try to help the NCAA save face. Of course, given that it's politics, so I could be wrong. Home Jersey 1 Quote

Maybe I'm overestimating the power of Disney and others with a lot of money riding on this. I won't think we're out of the woods until we're through the lame duck session. Quote
Pagoda Posted Friday at 06:17 PM Posted Friday at 06:17 PM Another L for the NCAA. Ain’t nothing getting expedited. Good news. RaceToTheTop, AZ Hoosier, Demo and 4 others 7 Quote

Old Friend Posted Friday at 09:11 PM Posted Friday at 09:11 PM Good grief. Drop it already. They claim to be "for the athletes." What good comes from this BS at this point?? Who would benefit from a NCAA "win?" Move on. Home Jersey and skhoosier2 2 Quote

That would almost surely run out the clock or pretty close. I actually wouldn’t be surprised if they just slow roll it to let the kids stay eligible and then it becomes moot and they sidestep the whole thing altogether. That’s what I would do. :^) Quote
