Josh Posted February 8 Author Posted February 8 Nobody followed him because they didn't want to. Plus he didn't have a good roster there either. And he didn't make the tourney. My goodness he has so many things he needs to fix. I have no idea why Dolson thought IU is a place for a coach who needs to figure things out. Devries needs to make the tourney this year. That doesn’t change whether or not they sneak in as a 10 or 11 seed or get the 1 seed in the NIT. Money and playing time are a far bigger sell than the success (or failures) of the previous years team in this climate, especially when the previous years team is going to be completely gutted to graduation. But yeah, I prefer we make the tournament than miss it obviously. Loosing the entire roster actually makes it worse because you have so many spots to fill and little continuity. Without proven success you’ll end up overpaying for mediocre talent. Kind of like we did this year. Got to get in. And if we make a first weekend run all the better. Quote
Brass Cannon Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Depending on how you view Harris we look to have 2-3 rotation pieces returning. With 3 good recruits coming in. Gut tells me that coach will target 3-4 guys to fill out the rotation next year. Depending how he views the freshmen we have on staff Quote

Not his fault they wanted North Carolina in the tourney and his team was the team that had to pay for it. Beat Arizona, Gonzaga in the non conference and road win at Kansas and home win against Iowa St with a SOS of 26 and non conference SOS 62. West Virginia getting left out might have been the biggest snub I’ve seen in quite some time. They said it was because of injuries but the Kansas and Iowa st wins came after the injuries 8bucks, J34, cchuntsman and 1 other 3 1 Quote

I didn’t even have them near the cut line.
