Mendoza has been getting assaulted the last 3 weeks I feel like any recruit is gonna ask about that Unfortunately OL is also the toughest group to get transfers. There has to be good internal development and hope to get 1 or 2 good ones in the portal. Think it could still be a couple years before we aren't concerned about OL. On the bright side there are about 120 other schools who are annually concerned about their line. thebigweave, Pagoda, southsidehoosier and 1 other 4 Quote

Anchor him at LT with an interior of Lynch, Evans, and Ajani (who showed improvement this week) and you have a foundation of OL that is experienced in the system with meaningful game reps. Depending on Smith’s decision I would expect 2-3 OL portal additions in the coming months to augment this core. Stuhoo and thebigweave 2 Quote

Smith will be interesting (and it'll be a good conversation to have during all of our upcoming time off) because Dane Brugler has him as a top-50 player in this draft class in his updated rankings from last week. And it's being billed as a weak tackle class overall, so if he thinks he'll test well he could really quickly find himself in the 1st round. Demo, thebigweave and MemphisHoosier 1 2 Quote

If we don't bring in a likely starting QB, it will be because the staff sees Alberto Mendoza every day in practice and has decided he is the guy. I cannot imagine there is anyone that doesn't completely and unequivocally trust this staff's judgement at this point. Also, for filing under FWIW; In his post-game presser after the Wisconsin game, Fernando stated that Alberto is regularly outperforming him in practice. I agree with your comments but Fernando saying Alberto outperforms him sounds like Fernando being Fernando (I don’t mean that negatively) Hovadipo, go iu bb, thebigweave and 3 others 6 Quote
