what number is Ristich?

5. And 1 thing that makes it a little easier to keep track of him, because Serbia’s guards all kind of look the same, particularly if you’re watching on like an iPad instead of a tv, is that Ristic has bright orange shoelaces that really stand out. Seriously, that sounds really dumb but it helps.

I get it, but I didn't even notice the shoe laces. I came away impresed, how bout you? Lack of quickness will hurt him.

Yeah, there are gonna be some matchups that’ll be a problem. But in these 3 games now, with the exception of flat losing a baseline cutter in this game, he’s shown really good awareness and he’s been assignment sound. There was a play in the 1st half where his guy took a handoff and was trying to drive Ristic towards a screen but he read it immediately, I’m sure it was part of the scout, and he quartered the guy and forced him wide of the screen and he was able to climb over it no problem. When he can process and execute like that, and that may take a minute at B1G speed, I think he’ll hold up ok. He’s not JBJ where you just know he’s got no chance.

Watched a fair bit of the game. He is well coached and seems very court aware. Plays very maturely for his age; I guess that's a product of playing a lot with grown-@$$ Serbian men. The jump shot form will 100% translate.

A caveat - he faced next to zero on ball pressure throughout - the French guards spent a lot of time eyeing the Serbian bigs to help in the post. I suppose that can make many guards look buttoned up.

He has a teammate that is 7'4 named Filip Malesevic. Doesn't play all that for the serbian team but has played in the pros for four year and isn't draft eligible until 2027

Serbia stays unbeaten with a 14pt win over Ukraine. Ristic with 12pts and 11 assists.

Teammate Pavle Nikolic added 14 points and 9 rebounds and has averaged 14 and 7.5 for the tournament.  Considering the review he got from the draft express scout he seems like a good late option to add

He’s been their most consistent player. The kid I really like is Gacic(#35). That kid is so fluid and so skilled. Kind of looks like Grant Nelson but he has 1 of those frames that looks like he may just never get strong enough.

Serbia defeats Spain 76-66 and moves on to a semifinal matchup with Italy on Saturday.  Ristic played 36 minutes scoring 12 points on 2-11 FG; 2-7 on 3s; 6-6 FT; 1r; 5a; 1t

Like Demo said that's a great W. Imo, the important stats to highlight for Ristic are his assists and TO's (including assist to turnover ratio). He's not a shooter or much of a scorer.

Damn, I forgot that Italy was playing Israel. Really wanted to see Ristic defend the kid going to Purdue that everyone’s been losing their minds over.

Glad to see him come back to Earth.  He’s been good so far.

The young Purdooer had a 'Caitlin Clark stat line' in this one! (ducks)
