20 bucks says Queen has a career game.

I will take that bet.

And a response to those that are impressed by Maryland's road win over Illinois...Illinois' big 7 footer was out with the flu.  Others in the roster were also out.

It won't be easy.  But Maryland's road win was a fluke.

IU will not fold...I hope.

IU will win a close game here.

Woody hangs on for another week.

And I am definitely not a Woody as coach of IU fan.

He was a hell of a basketball player, though.  I have to believe that the AD did not want Woody as coach.

I watched them at Purdue and played very well in that game

CAUTION: Prepare yourself for a National TV embarrassment.

Hope is up, but not practical.

Why?  Even if IU loses big, you mean that the nation will be watching MD at IU at noon?  And that would be news or something? Every game a team loses...some are big losses.  Shocked.  Not shocked.

MD beat Illinois at Illinois.  Illinois lost, in part, because their 7-foot center had the flu and did not play.  Was Illinois embarrassed?  Was Purdue embarrassed when OSU beat them at home?  Life goes on.

MD plays 2 bigs. They are more mobile than IU's 2 bigs. But the wild cards are Mgbako and Rice. Will they both play well? Will IU turnovers lose the game? Will IU bigs defend?  Will our perimeter defend and score?   Will IU rebound well? Ballo may just draw some fouls and handle whatever MD throws at him.

Will Coach Woody get this team over the hump?  Stay glued to your hobby or do your taxes away from AH and/or flat screen. I'm going to watch the game and cheer IU.  I plan on being entertained for a couple of hours.  This game is a toss-up.

Coach Woody is gone...win or lose this game.

Why? It’s on NATIONAL TV…… everyone can see the IU mess if they want to. Potential recruits most likely will be watching.

Purdue still ranked 11th. Illinois still 17th.

Seems like you’re comparing apples and oranges and getting a bananas result.

Believe me…. I wish the team could play to their potential game in and game out.

Just can’t find anything to be optimistic about.

Once again, we’re pinning our hopes of getting into the dance by winning our conference championship.

That’s something IU has never done.

It’s a travesty.

A year ago, Coach Allen's IU football team won 3 games. Life went on. New coach got into the hunt for a national championship. Not too worried about being shut down and out in basketball again today. That would not be news to any recruit. The only big news for IU basketball would either IU started winning big and often. (Or IU has a new coach.)

Jesus walked on water and so does Cig.

IU basketball is unfortunately drowning.

It’s freaking January. Nothing else to do but root on the HOOSIERS!

A 20+ point win would be tremendous!

Do NOT fear the Hardshells!

They're up against the NFL playoffs. People might watch the first half  but after that viewership will drop.

? IU is a bubble team.  They don’t need to win the conference tourney to get in.  While IU isn’t the team that their fans thought they would be they are far from the dumpster fire many make them out to be on this site.  If IU wins today they are probably in the projections as a 10 or 11 seed.  Again they are not what everyone wanted them to be but they are still a team with a very good chance at making the tourney

People would be surprised how little recruits pay attention to college basketball during the season.   They have their own season to worry about, they are busy worrying about what skins on Fortnite they can get and most top recruits feel they will be the solution to the problem.

In some regards, but the eye test and Net says highly unlikely.

I hope we do. This Indiana team will get embarrassed in NCAAs because that’s what Mike Woodson coached teams do, but I want to enjoy the hoopla of selection Sunday and press week, etc.

NET is in line for a bottom of the seed list team.   St John’s got in with a NET in the 70s one year for the first 4.   Pretty much every team in the First 4 will have an eye test that sucks.   Virginia got in last year with an eye test all year that told me they were crap

IU’s problem and strangely also IU’s best hope, is that after today IU plays four straight games where they are likely to be at least a five point underdog .
