Wow, Freeman is a tool. I have no problem when guys talk a little smack about team accomplishments. But he and Mack had similar seasons last year, both for mediocre teams. Have some class man.

Get mad all you want, but somebody above was asking if he transferred.

Woodson’s teams have been soft.

What’s wrong with him is we forget at times he’s our best offensive weapon and we tell him to stand on the wing or corner. They don’t set plays for him to try to get flow early. When he does score gets pulled because “Mike Woodson does what Mike Woodson wants.” The end of the game when he had 7 points in like that 2/3 minute stretch instead of building the confidence and helping him get his feel back we pull him for the remaining 7 minutes. Proceeding to score like 2 points the next 3-3:30 minutes.

Exactly. Woodson’s complete lack of perimeter scheming is killing the best players we have and the overall team. So discouraging to watch. Can’t wait until Woodson’s gone, just a terrible coach

This sh*t's been going on for the whole Woodson era. When we lost at home to Illinois his first year, they left a message on the whiteboard in the visitors' locker room that said something like "Nighty night, Trayce!" Rutgers has had dudes playing mind games and calling us out for being soft, the guy from PSU said he wasn't impressed by Ballo, and now this. Our players aren't serious and their opponents know it.

The program has developed a reputation of being soft. Not a Dakich fan, but his tag of arrogance without achievement is spot on. Other players see it. They know that Rutgers, Iowa or even Illinois don't get the same respect due to IU's blue blood history. So, they enjoy taking shots, knowing that IU won't do anything about it.

Geo Baker summed it up in 2022:

“Looking at it from a player’s perspective, for the guys that are returning in the Big Ten, nobody’s scared of Indiana,” Baker said on the Field of 68’s Big Ten preview.

“Nobody’s looking at Indiana like ‘oh man, we’ve got to get ready to play Indiana.’  Because this is a team that hasn’t really been in the top half of the Big Ten for the past couple years.  A lot of people on the outside are hyping them up, but Indiana, for me at Rutgers, when we were playing Indiana, we knew we were going in with a win.  That was our mindset.”
