I'm stating the obvious, but this commit really helps Conerway or whatever PG get some clarity on the team they would be running.  Fingers crossed for some dominoes falling...

I had a main concern with Conerway, he’s not a great athlete by Big Ten standards and seems to be at his best attacking downhill.

 

I think that’s fine and can work in college, but you HAVE to surround him with shooters. DeVries is gonna be a shooter, Reed can shoot but that’s not his main game, we needed another elite floor spacer out there. Wilkerson is that. 
 

Those two would really help open up the floor for Conerway which is something we’ve been terrible at under both Archie and Woody, opening up the floor.

I expect us to have a pretty good week. Almost posted that this morning, wish I would have, would have looked pretty darn good :) lol

Anybody still concerned about DDV as a recruiter? Don’t care if we offered more money, convincing a player like Wilkerson to be the fifth player on a brand new team instead of joining an established S16 team / coach is impressive.

I checked the flight records and didn't see anything this afternoon. I agree we're slipping a little. But in our defense we have had 4 years of our coach not flying out to see recruits

This is why I caution taking anything as gospel. Things are being kept very tight lipped, which is why we all need to be patient. I think we will all be very happy with who we get and also so the the results on the court.
