How many scholly's are available for the women's team next year?

I believe we only had 12 on scholarship last year and Mack, Sara and Arielle are gone.  Currently only 2 commits so we have 2 available unless I've overlooked someone and that assumes we don't have a transfer out.   And in my mind Currie-Jelks is a question mark.

I'm thinking four -- maybe five

For 2024-25

1. Sydney Parrish -- 5th year
2. Chloe Moore-McNeil -- 5th year
3, Lexus Bargesser -- junior
4. Henna Sandvik -- junior
5. Lilly Meister -- junior
6. Yarden Garzon -- junior
7. Sharnecce Currie-Jelks -- junior
8. Lenee Beaumont -- sophomore
9. Juliana LaMendola -- sophomore
10. Sydney Fenn -- freshman
11. Faith Wiseman -- freshman

Not sure about Currie-Jelks' status. She played in three games last season after coming in as a UT-Martin transfer, but sat out the rest because of "personal issues."

So, we technically have four. But if SCJ doesn't return -- that would give us five.

EDIT: Adjusted -- as @TTT noted, women are allowed 15 schollys. I had forgotten. Dang, we played this past season with three open.

IU Ladies with Faith and Sidney coming in = 11 .  Ladies basketball can carry a 15 roster.  That would mean 4 scholarships available including Currie Jelks on roster.

Let's get Syd on that!

That was my first thought as well but their time on campus wouldn't have overlapped would it?  Van Slooten's first year at Oregon would have been 22-23 and Syd was already back home again in Indiana.

They did not play together. But I would guess they have met on a recruiting visit.

Really does seem like a great fit though. Hope we pursue. Couple other nice options. Moren can lock in for 2 spots it seems.
