The question obviously is can she move to this level of competition. This is 100% T. Moren type player.  Several college  2022 offers from comparable schools like Middle Tennessee.  (hard worker outside practice, team player in high school while scoring).  Good looking assertive player, good student, and high character.

That would be AWESOME !!!

I believe Gulbe could have actually played another year but went home, and that would have been huge as we hugged a top 5 all year and got upset in a very poorly officiated and played game against #8 Miami. I really believe this years version will be better than last year even if it’s unfamiliar and less experienced. Getting drummed in non conference gimmes to start the season to giving usc, ucla, South Carolina all the wanted was impressive. Don’t think a clean slate of more athletic players is going to be bad

Caffey and mackculsky are players that a lot of teams wanted. Big z was a coveted player on a stacked veteran team and is built like a Shaq for women’s playing behind all Americans on a 1 seed. Beaumont was going to get serious minutes. Shay was as good as we had and will be a lot better here in year two. Striplin was admirable but left Tennessee because she wasn’t going to get to a be a contributor. Garzon left and not to ruffle feathers but had to be slowest player in the country. Phoenix and Noyan I think they can play. Phoenix adds speed and Noyan adds size and strength with skill. We’ve gotten bigger, faster, stronger. Need another add and will be just fine. Don’t know that we get much from spreen but would like to be surprised

Hard to judge talent in this portal business, or in recruiting in general. You have to figure out which ones are REALLY going to thrive at the next level (not a certainty), and, also, it's about putting together a TEAM  . . . something that CTM has excelled at.

The potential is there, if some people step up. Going from the shock of mass exodus, to the feeling that next year's team could be an improvement has been an interesting journey over the past few weeks.

Given knowing how to competently coach them I would play the percentages with a team of 5 and 4 star players (maybe a couple of 3 star players if there is room).

IU Lady transfer portal players have sized down to new homes now thus far except Henna Sandvik….no info on Henna yet…and Garzon who sized up….not sure it was in her best interest regarding statistical regression or progression.

Interesting take from the young Ms. Goodman.

Not sure I agree, however. Bargesser is very athletic -- great foot speed, can defend pretty well and is a good ball-handler.

But she couldn't throw the ball into the ocean, and doesn't have great basketball skills. I suppose she makes a nice point guard, if you're OK with your point guard not scoring much. As far as a "ton of growth" -- I thought she was better as a sophomore.

I know I've tried to give a fair warning. I heard the staff is scrambling because they weren't prepared for so many to talk about entering.

I think you made a good point.

Don't expect her to be a 3-point shooting ace, and she can run the CSU offense pretty well. Good defender. Confident ball handler. I think her choice of a Mountain West team was a good one--fresh start, and a chance to shine.
