As of 8:00 am this morning, looks like everything is a go for our team plane to take off at 10:00.  GAME ON!

Still think flying out there and playing in the same day is a pretty big ask. Not necessarily accusing anybody of being misogynistic (OK, maybe a teeny bit ...) but I wonder if they'd make a Power 5 men's team do this?

No. A match up this big they would have been well aware of the weather and had transportation leave early. Probably Thursday. The fact is fox isn't going to lose this game so they will figure out how to make it happen tonight. Hopefully our girls are ready

Questions about perspective surrounding this game and depending those involved for safe travels to and from Iowa.  There are many examples of these types of scenarios of travel in team sports (college and professional (even high school to lesser extent)) so it is not that uncommon.

By some Iowa was picked by 9 and now who knows…the effort to jump into C.C. lions den waiting comfortably at home. (Iowa has other good players playing well).  Jack in the beanstalk tall task for IU Ladies…..For IU Ladies and all those going to Iowa Safe Travels.

How about California teams and west coast teams traveling to original big ten country during extreme winter weather conditions for conference games in the future.

Just get it over with.  Maybe, make it a defensive slug fest.

I think the travel 'disruption' is being overemphasized. If we play at Purdue it's a two hour bus ride; would we go up the day before for a 7PM game there? Think of all the high school games they've bussed to that took an hour or more to get to the opponent's gym, and then the 'shoot around' was pregame warm-ups. I'm sure Iowa will be very accommodating as far as access to their arena.

Disagree.

There's a big difference between a two-hour bus ride and a 400-mile plane trip in very sketchy weather. And I'm not 100% sure, but I think we would travel to Purdue the day before a game.

Additionally, this isn't high school any longer. We're playing one of the nation's best teams whose players have slept at home and will be well-rested and ready. Our players had to get up early this morning to prepare for a flight across the Midwest -- again, in what appear to be very bad weather conditions -- and have to play tonight.

I think that puts us at a pretty big disadvantage. If we're playing Northern Kentucky, that's one thing. But this is Iowa.
