coonhounds Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 Tickets are DIRT cheap on SeatGeek right now. Can sit a row behind the bench for about $40 after fees. I'm going to try not to think about the money I've wasted if I don't go. At this rate I'd rather eat the loss than wind up stranded in a flood and out even more money... but... this is one of the few chances I get to see IU basketball play in person these days! Truly may need to flip a coin. (laughing/crying face) ...... main takeaway: shouldn't have to worry too much about the Rutgers crowd. Their student section, I hate to admit, was really loud last year. Definitely was being felt on the court. Go. You only live once. Take only main roads and don't cross any high water. Watch out for the other idiots on the road. Get to the game and cheer our guys to a damn victory!Sent from my SM-A326U using Tapatalk thebigweave, Kentuckysucks, Class of '66 Old Fart and 3 others 5 1

The spread of -3.5 favoring Rutger is based largely on that. Rutger also defends the 3 well, will be interesting to see if we do get going (again) on an inside-out game, this is a game we SHOULD, because just working it inside against a very solid interior D on the road is a recipe for a quick L. I expect us to lose this one, but hope for a W. The flip side of that is their offense is bad, especially their 3pt shooting. It has been at home too. That plays into our hands. Teams that aren’t raining 3’s down on us don’t typically torch us. So while they’ll hold us down some, we should be able to keep their score down too provided we don’t give up a ton of offensive rebounds or turnovers. We’ve been shooting the 3 ball better lately. If we can make some tonight, I think we have a good shot.

This is exactly the push I was looking for to help me justify this risky commute! Lol. Thanks for delivering guys. About 25 mins normally, expecting it to be more like 50-60 today. Gonna look at things more positively and say once I actually make it into the building it'll be even better than under normal circumstances. Jersey Mike's Arena is notorious for having crap seating packed in like sardines. Last year I was knee to knee with a Hoosier couple from upstate NY who travel to every PSU and RU vs. IU game on one side, and the other, a guy from Texas who was family friends with Miller Kopp, who had also formed a relationship with the Gunn family apparently. It was a fun time! But we got our butts kicked. This year there will be less fans cheering on Rutgers and also less people squishing into each other. Easier for me to focus on the game and cheer the way I like to cheer... lol... Plus I think we've got a good shot of leaving with a W. coonhounds, HoosierHoopster, choosierred1 and 3 others 5 1

Making this comment half in jest, but he "knows those rims" in the RAC well having played there multiple times in HS/AAU. If he can stick with it on D and makes a concerted effort on the boards, I think he has a big scoring night too. str8baller and Whoozhers 2

Both teams also have slow paces of play (nationally), it looks like another slug fest. On their floor, that favors them. I'm still picking our guys, but they'll have to endure the BS officiating, down low bruising, and unlike last year they'll have to come ready to play hard and fight for the W.

Not even 60mph winds, NJ rush hour traffic, and about 2-4 inches of rain can keep me away from this dump if it means seeing our Hoosiers. Doors open at 6. Said online that they'd be open at 5:30. Still early but right now it's me and about 5 RU fans lol. Think I saw a handful more in the parking lot too. These guys can't hold our jock. Let's get this ****in win!
