So you want Pat Knight hired because of 'tradition', to replace Mike Woodson who a lot of people say was hired just because of 'tradition'.

He's joking

That was one of the worst games I've watched in my lifetime. Not just IU but basketball in general was terrible.

The 4 subs absolutely killed the momentum of the team. Yes, you need to rest some players but not 4 at once.

I'm over Xavier. Your 6th-year senior captain cannot do stupid things like that. No way he should start the next game.

Our starting backcourt has 10+ years of college experience and this is what we get from them.

I've never seen a McDonalds all-american who has trouble handling the ball as much as I've seen with Mgbako, his basketball IQ is very low also. The intentional foul was ridiculous too.

Walker also a senior actually passed the ball into the back of a Rutgers player on a fast break. The exact next play he had an uncontested double dribble.

I'm troubled that we are complaining about the same problems in year 3 as we were in year 1. We don't rebound, we turn it over way too much, we can't shoot FT's, 3pt, layups, it's a complete sh*t show.

I'm just hoping Woody has some people close to him, that is talking to him about moving on to the next chapter in his life.

On the bright side, my son was a direct admit into the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering for next year. I'm excited about tailgating for the next football season.

Go Hoosiers!!

Congrats to your son!

I can not stop thinking about this. It's actually a decent spot to be in...

When basketball wins: cool, we won!

When basketball loses like they did last night and all seems lost: tailgate szn soon come *drools*

Completely agree with your entire post - congratulations to your son! I've heard great things about Luddy. He will have a great time and earn a great degree. I'm sure Mom and Dad are very proud. Cheers!

Those football tailgates are one of a kind.

I think last night should be XJ last game in an IU uniform. This is at least strike 4 fir him. This is his second time he bagged a player, his reckless driving going 100 on Walnut and he was part of the Chicago 5.

It is time for our coaches to recruit great basketball players instead of just recruiting by how many stars are by their names

X took a clear shot at one of the Rutgers player's groins and got a flagrant 2 and was tossed. Unfortunately, that wasn't the even the worst part of that awful display last night.

Good lord.

Our 5th year senior has to display leadership, not this kind of crap.

Hey ... my kid just got IU-admitted via an email yesterday! Direct admit to the Kelley School for the boy.

However      :(

  • He's my third and last, and the first two were IU admits that ended up going to school in Boston.
  • IU is one of 20 schools he applied to (none of them are Purdoo or Kensucky - we're not complete failures).
  • We watched the abomination together last night.

But hope springs eternal!

They don’t send admissions letters in the mail anymore? If so that’s sad. I still have mine framed.

I'm not all that young (in my 50's) but if there's an admissions letter in the mail my kid won't really care and I get it. It's less efficient, after the fact, and not how he gets information.

Funny thing is; my kid has been swamped with snail mail letters and glossy fliers from a shite-ton of universities for many, many months. It's a complete waste of postage and resources by these schools; he has no interest in looking at or reading any of them. But he researches the hell out of every applicable university and has a sweet excel sheet with hyperlinks for them all.

Lmao “the Chicago 5” made me chuckle and makes it seem far more nefarious than it was.

And whose job is it to motivate the players? At the end of the day, who is responsible for the outcome? Who is responsible for building a roster of great, good and serviceable players? Whose job is it to mold the group of players into a cohesive team? Whose job is it to take corrective action when things go off the rails? Whose job is it to send the message that the "team" is failing, and to sit their collective butts down to communicate his displeasure with the direction of things? Whose job is it to put the team in the best position to have a chance to win any game?

Clearly this all falls on Woody, and he is failing miserably.

Going to the post-game presser with crap like "we gotta get better" just ain't cutting it. Either MAKE it happen, or hit the road, Woody.

Look I am with you he has not been doing a good job this season but 100% of the blame can't be on him, the players have to show up with their big boy pants on too.

It's all done on an online portal.  But yes, as of a few years ago,  they do send formal letters after the fact along with swag and stuff.

From recent memory acceptance does not get a letter, but when you accept and pay the deposit they send a letter.

Kent Sterling rant is exactly the way I feel and I think a lot us do.

I have not watched the video but to me, Kent Sterling has a punchable face. I'm not sure why I just don't like that guy. But I'm sure he is right in what he's saying

We got a letter in the mail and some swag. My wife made my son hold up some sign that said "I said yes to IU" or some crap like that. Which I told her not to post on social media
