Just so I’m clear: TA considered running an extra 10 secs or so off the clock and taking a long shot that OSU would jump offsides, which still wouldn’t have been a 1st down, as more valuable than keeping the TO for the end of the half? I’m no strategist, but that sounds……wrong.

4th and 2 makes you consider going for it and would've been a shorter FG for a new guy and its the 1st half. If it (somehow) was a one possession game in the 2nd half, wasting that timeout is dumb.
