Jamie Shaw with his top performers at the DMV Live Session 2.

Eric Reibe is a new name to the landscape; however, he is one that has made you pay attention. The 6-foot-11 post from Potomac (MD) Bullis School is a throwback. The lefty has an array of post moves on the block, up and under, right-shoulder jump hooks, etc.

You like the physicality that Reibe plays with. Originally from Germany, Reibe took on a head-to-head matchup with 2024 four-star center Patrick Ngongba. An intriguing toolkit was on display. After going inside early, he stepped out to knock down pick-and-pop threes and even attacked the paint off left-hand straight-line drives.

There is a lot to like with Reibe’s game, partly why he has added almost 15 offers since April. Head coaches from Georgetown, Providence, and Virginia Tech were joined by Iowa, Illinois, and about 40 other programs for his games tonight.

Don't know that we'll ever go hard after Reibe but nice to know that he won't be able to take any more OV's to Iowa or PUke under the new rules.

Per Joe Tipton:  2025 four-star Eric Reibe  a 6-foot-11 center, tells me he has scheduled the following official visits -- Harvard: Sept. 6-9 Iowa: Oct. 6-8 Purdue: Nov. 10-12.   Ranked by On3 as the No. 64 overall prospect in the class.

Before it was a good thing to get a junior year OV. Now it's probably something to avoid since it will usually be long past by the time he's making a decision. Fans fret when players take another visit (OV or not, but especially OV) to another school after them before a decision is made. Think of having a full year of those visits.

Sounds like an IU offer going nowhere.  At least he'll have used up his Iowa and PUke OV's early.

Biancardi -

2025 Big man Eric Reibe was outstanding at camp last weekend. His basketball skill and feel for the game is advanced. Love his footwork, touch and IQ. Possesses outstanding hands to catch, rebound, score. As he lives lower in his stance he will be more of a force on both ends. Projecting as a future top 100 candidate nationally. He told me he is hearing from Purdue, Virginia Tech, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Creighton, Michigan State, Miami, Iowa, Maryland and Villanova. He has official visits to Iowa on October 6-8 and Purdue on November 10-12. Plays for a great coach in Bruce Kelley at the Bullis school.

I now have every reason to believe that we have the Ballel Rick trio in the bag. The Adam Howard addition may have locked this up.

There has to be a world if we're big man tech where we could bring in two bigs on potentially different timeliness. Next year's 5 spot portal doesn't project well.

Looking forward to seeing Reibe because I’ve never watched a second of him.
