IU Ladies Reset into another winning streak beginning Friday.

(In tournaments…big ten teams know each other, especially March Madness you have to guard 3 ball and hit 3’s yourself…Princeton almost had IU beat last year and remember Arizona).  And Maryland killed Iowa with 3 ball and all kinds of shots last week.  Caveat, it was on Maryland home court.

As CTM said, we are writing our story.  Unfortunately we ended book one with the bad guys getting the upper hand. We have book two this week then onto the final book of the trilogy.  Let’s write book two and three with us taking the Big and NCAA championships.

There was never any doubt in my mind that IU Ladies would try to win last game and it would not have mattered who, why, where, when or what game it was.  (talk about resting starters is and was crazy talk).  In the regular season grand scheme of things it means one thing and that is IU LADIES ACCOMPLISHED GOAL OF UNDISPUTED REGULAR SEASON BIG TEN CHAMPS…THE TOUGHEST CONFERENCE IN THE COUNTRY.  
Last win streak was 14….this weekend is opportunity to start with 3 game win streak.

Iowa would have to get by Maryland and that might be very difficult.  The 28 point beat down the Terps put on Iowa was impressive.

Afterwards Maryland calmed down vs Ohio State by 2.  (Home court swings have been big this past week).  There is a good chance for an upset along the way but whoever plays the most true to themselves among IU LADIES, Maryland, Iowa and to a lesser extent don’t count out Ohio State will win The Big Ten Conference Tournament this weekend.

Opening game of the tournament goes to Penn State with a 72-67 win over Minnesota.  They'll play Michigan tomorrow.

Rutgers advances to play Illinois tomorrow with a 63-59 win over Northwestern.

Michigan State beats Nebraska 67-64, so Indiana will take on the Spartans tomorrow at 12:30 ET.

That's what you wanted. Nebraska is the weirdest team out there and at their best can beat anyone in this league by double digits but at their worst can lose to anyone by double digits. IU is a solid 15 points better than MSU if Hoosiers bring their best game and the only way Indiana loses is with a bad game. They could have beaten the Huskers by even more if you got the bad version of them but at their best that game is going to the wire even if IU brings their top form. Not a chance want to take given you have zero idea which Cornhsuker squad you get on a given day.

 

Also, Nebraska would have been playing for a a sure trip to NCAA Tournament tomorrow. Spartans have zero chance of getting in without winning this conference tournament so less on the line for them.

It’s good to see a Michigan State rematch.

#5 seed Michigan defeated #13 seed Penn State 63-61 and will play #4 seed O$U tomorrrow.

Potential upset brewing as #10 Wisconsin is leading #7 Purdue 30-12 late in the first half. Purdue is sitting squarely on the bubble. Wisconsin is 11-19 overall.

Jeez, saw this so took a peek. PU now up 52-50 with about 3 minutes to play. Those plucky Boilermakers ...

I'm getting really sick of replay reviews brought on by players whining about calls. This ball out of bounds is clearly off Purdue, but they're reviewing it because multiple Purdue players had a hissy fit when the call was made.

LOL, good stuff. Purdue up by 2, 20 seconds left, Wisconsin ball, Badgers travel. Purdue ball, Wisconsin forces a tie up and has the arrow. 

 

And the Badgers bury a 3 to go up by 1 with 10 seconds left.
