Whoever wrote this didn't do much research. In talking about his different WNBA stints (his first was with Connecticut), it says: "He was the first openly g ay male coach in college or professional basketball when he joined the Sun." 

He was an assistant at Cleveland State, Syracuse and Colorado State and a head coach at Bowling Green -- and as we know, IU. 

It wouldn't have really been that difficult to look that up.

That filter far pre-dates any of us, but has been removed.

He will crush you, and then explain that he is unhappy, because his team made mistakes. If you're a UConn fan, it's great. UConn really needs to get out of the Big East--they have pretty much trampled everyone mercilessly. They need to be in the Big 12 or the Big 10. I don't know what the politics were in inviting Rutgers and not UConn.

My sister and I were talking about this best player in a generation and only to get to the first round of the playoffs and then get bounced.

Fever had a short win streak after break but tapered off.  That was probably Fever peak including next season under Sides.  (Coaching change is definitely in order).

I guess that's one way to look at it, if you ignore everything leading up to then. The Fever were two years removed from one of the worst seasons in league history. To go from that to the playoffs in just two years was pretty impressive.
