Been really quiet with him lately, but Somto would be the absolute perfect complement to Malik. And he’s a legit reclass candidate. And he isn’t beholden to Drew Adams. And his coach isn’t a pure Matt Painter fan.

So I’m hoping this incredibly high ceiling kid pops up again soon.

So staff got a bad vibe from Bidunga?

Not basing this on any info I’ve gotten.

Basing this on IU fan base getting really excited about a player that is geographically close enough to attend games when there’s another that may be just as intriguing.

ok gotcha.  He is a physical presence.  Most are predicting a non-college route for him though.

Tim Fuller, the Scouting Director of Overtime Elite, is supposedly taking a job on Kim English’s staff.

Wow. I like Kim English, and not long ago I might’ve been a skeptic that anyone could really outperform Cooley at PC, despite my philosophical differences with Cooley on play style. But I’m starting to wonder if English can level them up.

A thin center ranked in the 40s I wouldn't expect to have a huge impact in year 1. A thin center ranked in the 40s of his original class who then reclassifies up a year I  definitely wouldn't expect a huge impact in year 1. A year ago he was a 5* and has dropped quite a bit. Will probably be good in time but I doubt it next year. Maybe after he transfers to play for a coach who can actually develop players and not the snake oil salesman at UK.

yeah, hard to say.  Most reClasses fail due to physical limitations.  That won't be his problem.  He's a problem physically.  So I'd Imagine the rebounding and defense will translate but what about the basketball skills?  So, it's a we will see situation for me.
