Orchard Lake advanced to Wednesday's regional final vs North Farmington with a 72-69 win over Detroit U-D Jesuit.  McKenney finished with 30p and 12r.

Orchard Lake 56-44 regional final win over #3 North Farmington.   With a game-high 26 points, McKenney was at his best during a pivotal stretch spanning the third and fourth quarters in which he scored 12 out of 14 points to push St. Mary’s into the lead for the first time since the game’s opening minutes.

Orchard Lake advances to the state semifinals with a 55-44 win over Warren De LaSalle Collegiate.  McKenney with 28 pts. in the win; 11 in the 1st Q.

First time I've ever watched anything of his. Kinda looks like a Blackmon highlight. Jumper is effortless.

Trey's season ended in a 65-42 state semifinal loss to Muskegon.  He finished with 20 pts.  on 5-13 FG; however, the rest of the team was just 6-29.

Stats for his season are very minimal.  For just 14 games he averaged 24.6 ppg.

Easy to see the natural scoring ability of Michigan's AP Player of the Year, but it was his blossoming feel for blending the elite scoring package with some juice as a playmaker. Playing up with the 17's this summer, McKenney will have no shortage of opportunity to shore up on what seems to be a swing trait — the decision-making process and shot selection. Cliche for most, but the 6-4 G has true three-level scoring ability and creates space at will, but at times has shown some tunnel vision. Now surrounded with more scoring, he showed highly intriguing flashes as a live dribble playmaker leveraging his scoring gravity to make plays for others. There's opportunity on the table this summer for McKenney to make real strides in his development within this context.
