I think one thing that needs to be considered is that he;s not going to be asked to defend post players at the NBA level. He'll likely be guarding players smaller than him and backing him down or getting past him gets negated some by his length. Quote

FWIW, I think I know why Hardaway never calls timeout: any adjustment he can think up will be worse than they opposing coach makes.
