Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 Vince Iwuchukwu out of USC via Montverde Academy. We offered in Sept '21 but would be surprised if we jumped back in. Had medical issues that raise a red flag for me. https://www.on3.com/college/usc-trojans/news/usc-forward-vince-iwuchukwu-enters-the-ncaa-transfer-portal/ Has been interesting to see a number of former IU offers that have gone portaling. The tweet I saw had listed Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Creighton but On3 lists Michigan State in his top 4. I know IU reached out. Fidler is a good one. Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 Khaliff Battle, Arkansas. Will be in his sixth year (redshirted in his third season). Previously at Butler and Temple. 6'5" guard. Last season averaged 24.7 min, 14.8 pts, 3.3 reb, 1.3 ast. Shot 41/35/87. Bulk three point shooter. Would not be surprised if he followed Musselman to USC. Louisville is rumored to be in very real competition with Michigan for Davis. Quote

The kid is gonna be an elite multi-positional defender. 6’8” with elite movement skills. He’ll be switchable 1-4, no problem. Maybe 1-5 in the right situation. And he can really run and he can make enough open looks. Fun prospect. Quote

He’s a year young for his class, so the season he had isn’t a shock. He’s got a great frame and he can really run. He’s strong enough to defend the block and he’s really quick off his feet. He’s got a chance to get a lot better. RaceToTheTop, Maedhros, lillurk and 2 others 5 Quote

Also don’t think he’d have to be promised a starting spot. If he got Anthony Walker type minutes he’d be getting more on court time than he had at USC. MemphisHoosier and lillurk 2 Quote

RaceToTheTop Posted April 8, 2024 Posted April 8, 2024 Reported that Tramon Mack was going to enter the portal yesterday evening. Will be interesting to see if he does now that cal is coming. So I would think he might consider staying after talking to Cal but that probably starts a domino effect on other players who Cal might have wanted. Could also look at USC where Musselman went or go simply become a free agent again. Mack played three years at Houston before transferring to Arkansas. 6'6" guard averaged 16.2 points and 4.3 rebounds. Shot 48/36/80. Alford Bailey 1 Quote
