First time watching St. Johns all year, when did Ledlum end up in Queens?? I thought he spurned IU for Tennessee. Looks pretty good.

He did commit to UT but then changed to St. Johns. I think he may have actually been on UT's campus for a short time (a week or two) before it happened.

Kind of surprising. Can’t come to Indiana when there’s no interest from IU, but I thought for sure he would be out of there. Their guard rotation was a mess and usually got the short end of the stick. Nothing is going to get better for him next year unless someone transfers out but there’s really nobody ahead of him that is a candidate to transfer.

I could see that, if he goes shopping for big money. I didn’t count him since he was a transfer, but your comment reminded me that doesn’t matter anymore (I actually liked that rule from the NCAA).  
 

He can be really ball dominant and was a big part of their problems, imo, so maybe they don’t pony up to keep him. With that said, it’s tough to part with a soph with his athleticism who scored 16ppg and has decent shooting splits.

If Woody fancies himself a big man whisperer, this one would be way more entertaining than Booker. Looking at his 3rd school in basically 15 months and has barely played at all in college. But had an elite offer list in HS. UK and UConn among others. Should be interesting to see who takes a shot here.

Jake Davis former Mercer and Cathedral alum in portal. Solid freshman year shot 39% from 3 on high volume. Reminds me of a more physical Miller Kopp. Probably a role player at this level but good shooter nonetheless.

I remember watching Davis play and the kid played hard every second he was on the court and was a very good 3-point shooter at Cathedral.  Also wasn't hesitant to mix it up underneath.

This kid had an Archie offer and I watched several of his HS games.  I'm sure more than once I referred to him as Devonte Green 2.0.  Out of control, throwing shots up from everywhere.  We didn't miss a thing by not pushing his recruitment.

Furman junior Carter Whitt has entered the transfer portal. The 6’3” guard averaged 7.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.2 steals. Started off at Wake Forest.

112 games he's a 35% FG and a 27% 3-point shooter.

Wow, that one is a blast from the past. As I recall he also had balance and change of direction issues. He looked like a calf on skates.

This may have been mentioned...I was busy yesterday and could not check the board...anyway, Small played high school ball in Indiana before going the prep school route and ending up at Oklahoma State. Notre Dame attempted to bring him in last offseason but they were unable to get him into school as a transfer (one of the difficult aspects of the Notre Dame job and why Shrewsberry won't be there long). He was around 37% from three. Looking at only games against high-major competition and only pointing out the highlights:

-18 on 10 shots versus Kansas State along with 5 rebounds and 7 assists

-18 on six shots against Houston 

-21 on 16 shots against Oklahoma 

-34 on 19 shots against BYU

-29 on 18 shots against Notre Dame

The largest issue for Small is turnovers. This season, eight games with five turnovers or more. Very good player though and he'd be a nice add.

Indiana has to because they failed recruiting this season along with adding nothing outside of Ware last spring.

Looks like it took him a while to really be a high impact player at Furman.  Not real found of those shooting numbers -- 29.7% from three on 7 threes per game this past season.  Do like that he is a + rebounder for a guard.
