I was expecting 90-110 range to start out with how they played against earlier teams.  The 137 makes more sense when you see that the Power 5 teams they beat Louisville and Maryland are at 279 and 210.       Long ways to go and the good news is they will have plenty of opportunities to improve that number being in the B1G.  10 of 14 teams are in the top 90 to start out.

Thing to keep track of. As of now they are counting the Harvard game as a home game for IU even though it was played in Indy.    If that is a neutral court game then the Harvard game would be a Q2 win instead of Q3.    Those are always interesting.  Pretty sure last years Miami (Ohio) game was counted as a neutral court game and this year it’s counted as a home game even though both games were played in the same building

This is just odd and makes no sense. Not that it really matters much at this point, but Indy isn't a 'home' game period, what would cause it to be considered one for these purposes?

Was this something that was expected? Seems odd to just throw that out this year.

 If both schools agreed to it being a home game during negotiations of setting the game up and ticket sales were split on it being a home game instead of neutral game is my guess.   Or they just made an error and it will change to a neutral game later in the year which I have seen it done before.    I will probably ask someone about it on X later today or tomorrow

How could they count that as a home game when it is not at home????

 If both schools agreed to it being a home game during negotiations of setting the game up and ticket sales were split on it being a home game instead of neutral game is my guess.   Or they just made an error and it will change to a neutral game later in the year which I have seen it done before.    I will probably ask someone about it on X later today or tomorrow 

The giant iu emblem at mid court leads me to believe it will be counted as a home game and was agreed on. To be neutral I would think it would be pacers or something else. Just my guess

I really hope we didn't agree to count this as a home game instead of neutral. Woodson's old-school mentality has always concerned me a bit in that he doesn't seem to care about modern metrics and how they may affect our team at season's end. We should never be considering a game in Indy as a home game.

The Army game has just killed us in these rankings. They're now 10 spots from the bottom in Kenpom. Literally the only good thing about that game was that we scored more points than them.

Yeah I'm not a huge focus on computer rankings and stuff person but it would be really stupid on our end to not count that as a neutral game if that is the case.

They’ve been in the 200’s the last few years, so I can’t really kill Woody for scheduling. In fact, scheduling them seemed to be an effort in avoiding scheduling a bunch of 300+ level teams. But sometimes that’s just the way it works out. FGCU may be similar but not as bad.  
 

Struggling against them hurts us in efficiency rankings like Kenpom, too.

For now it does.  Trying to get clarification from some to see if it’s an error and should be a neutral game or if it was agreed upon being a home game

I know Pom lists it as semi-home.
