@Uspshoosier Curious your opinion on this in terms of what the better outcome is for IU's tournament resume.

Say we finish the regular season 3-1. Which scenario is a better outcome for us?

NW - W

MSU - W

Minn - W

At OSU - L

Pretty chalk. Big quad 1 win over MSU. Quad 3 home win over NW and quad 2 (at the moment) home win over Minnesota. Avoid having a "bad loss" on our resume.

NW - W

MSU - W

Minn - L

At OSU - W

Two quad 1A wins to really close the gap on our poor Quad 1+2 record. Probably a higher WAB ranking (OSU win helps more than Minn loss hurts that ranking). But, potentially a "bad loss" on the resume. Minnesota is currently quad 2, but that home loss could be quad 3 by end of season.

Curious your thoughts. Would the road OSU win help more than a home loss to Minnesota?

UK is down a bit and Lville isn’t as good as maybe thought.

Louisville is 14th in the NET and Kentucky is 29th.   They might not be as good as they should be numbers wise those were high level non con games

Both cases are getting IU in the tourney.   Having the extra road win would give them them the better seed.   Minny is currently 73rd and if they won a road game at IU then their NET is going to go up.  Minny loss would be a Q2 home loss.  Although if you lose to Minny you get swept by a non tourney team so they could hold that against you.

Thanks! Appreciate it! That's kind of how I was viewing it too. Go 3-1 and we should be solid. Would love to snag two more quad 1 wins.

Wtf. How does CBS have us as Next 4 Out? That’s like 12-15 spots different from everyone else.

They’ve had us in and out over the last few weeks. Even in our mini streak, they didn’t put us in until after we beat Wisconsin.

CBS I believe is run by a Purdue guy Jerry Palm.  He is usually negative about all things IU

Another thing to keep an eye on is Northwestern is at 78 in the NET.  If they get to 75 then that game becomes a Q2 game.   Not that big of deal but would put another Q2 win if they were happen to win that game and they finish the season at 75 or better

To add to this keep an eye on Marquette.   The are at 108 in the NET and if they go on a little run and get to 100 then that neutral court win becomes a Q2 win as well.

Crazy that Marquette isn’t in the top 100. I think we all thought they would be a quad 2 game at the very least.

Yeah and Kansas St being in the top 75 which should of made that one a Q2 as well

Evidently CBS bracketology is done by a group and they decided that only having 4 wins in the Q1 and Q2 justified them to put IU 5th team out.   Miami(oh) only other in in the NET top 50 with less.   At least they gave their reason.  I don’t agree with them on that subject.  My question for them would be to do how many wins against their projected field in the top 50 have and I bet IUs 3 would be more then a lot of them.   Thats the fun of bracketology though each person can view what they feel is  important

Yea Marquette has a chance to get there. Playing a lot better recently. Up to #99 in Kenpom, from a low of #124.
