We’ve been getting wide open shots. They just aren’t going in. When you can’t space the floor and lack shooters, teams adjust. We aren’t going to get the same room inside as MSU because they know we suck at shooting 3s. They don’t, on the other hand.

Because we can't shoot we're pretty easy to game plan against and defend.

He stuck with Phinisee on the point guard after a pick and let his man slide to the bucket untouched. That's inexcusable at this point of the season.

It’s hedging with the center. I hate it. A hedge is used to stop momentum on a ball screen. Stop momentum and push penetration east and west. Stick with it too long and you’ll get absolutely fried. That’s what is happening. Can’t switch there so it has to be a quick re-direct and get outta dodge. My suggestion is to hedge with Smith and Thompson like they did the last game against MSU. Added quickness took away the easy bunnies for the most part.

Why can Michigan State get layup after layup and execute an offense that produces good shots on a consistent basis and we....can't?
I hate our offense.  This is a recording.

I hate to sound redundant but it’s not that hard. Good shooters space the floor and make the pick and roll much more effective (aka Winston almost having a double double)

I agree and think this is what Archie wants in the future. Unfortunately guys like Morgan and Davis don’t have the lateral quickness to effectively hedge against great point guards like Winston. But if you look at the bigs we’re recruiting, most have great lateral quickness and length

You’re right. But Winston sees and controls everything. The ball goes to the right place every single time. Great player. Right now Winston and Rob is an utter mismatch.
