Mark your calendars for Tuesday, May 5, at 5:00 E.T. on Big Ten Network.  In 1982, IU Men’s Soccer won its first NCAA Championship in just its 10th varsity season.  Worth the Wait airs Tuesday 5/5 at 5:00 p.m. ET.

On right now, good stuff so far. I think there's another replay around 11pm or midnight.

This doesn't have anything to do with our current team but the athletic department sent out a release today announcing the untimely death of former IU soccer All-American Ken Snow.

The Indiana men's soccer program is saddened by the death of former Hoosier All-American Ken Snow (1987-90). Snow was 50 years old.

"Ken was the most highly decorated player to ever wear the IU uniform. He is the only player to have earned four first-team All-America selections and two National Player of the Year Awards," former Indiana men's soccer head coach Jerry Yeagley said of Snow. "He was the finest attacking player that I ever had the privilege of coaching."

Snow was is regarded as one of the best Indiana men's soccer players in the program's illustrious history. He tallied a staggering 196 total points in his four-year collegiate career with 84 goals and 28 assists.

He was the program's first four-time All-American, earning the honor in 1987, '88, '89 and '90. He won the sport's highest honor, taking home the Hermann Trophy twice (1988, 1990) and the Missouri Athletic Club Player of the Year award both years. He was named to both the Soccer America All-Century Team in 2000 and the publication's All Decade team for the 1980s.

He currently holds Indiana's all-time career records in points (196) and goals scored (84), while securing the single-season goals record (28) during the 1987 season.

The Hoosiers posted a 73-12-4 record during Snow's career and advanced to two NCAA College Cups. Snow was a prominent member of the 1988 national championship team.

Oh wow! Ken and Steve (his brother) lived downstairs from me at IU. So sad! I remember they had a cartoon on their door showing Joe Camel as a penis lol. This kinda hits me hard

Saw this tweet in reaction to the B1G announcement earlier today about conference only football games:  And if this new B1G rule extends to all fall sports, that just wiped out about half of #iumsoc's schedule.

Unless they make the Big Ten schedule double round robin instead of just a round robin like normal or move it to spring. Lot of unknowns right now.

Evan Gerike - Sophomore Joshua Penn to forgo remaining eligibility with #iums. He’s the first Hoosier to leave this year, but with no season until (at least) spring it’s possible more follow.

Jeff Reuter - Joshua Penn has signed a multi-year professional contract with #USL side Indy Eleven, sources tell @TheAthleticSCCR. The left winger began studying at the Univ. of Indiana last summer & was seen as a possible Generation Adidas candidate. Made 5 USL apps in 2019 on amateur deal.
