No they don’t. They got rid of looking at the last 10 games a long time ago. A win in February is the same as a win in November

Geez bridges: USPS brings accurate, informative substance to the board and that makes you snarky? If that was tongue in cheek you should make that clear. Otherwise, not a fan of that post.

I got the impression it was tongue in cheek myself

Your right if Nebraska wins out and is 14-4 with 0 quadrant 1 wins then a 14-4 B1G team is going to get left out

If a 14-4 (Or even a 13-5, or 12-6) Power Coference team is left out of the tourney, then the grading system is junk!

Personally, I don't feel the B1G is as down as many of you, I feel its just more even minus the top 3 teams.  I realized we got blasted by the ACC in the challenge but I put that on the match-ups in my opinion.

Then going to a 20 game conference season next year, you're going to start seeing junk non conference schedules from more and more B1G teams to make sure teams go into B1G play with minimal losses because your going to be beating up more teams within your own coference.

The top of the B1G is as strong as ever in my opinion. The specific problem with Nebraska this year is the unbalanced schedule. They only got a chance to play the top teams in the B1G once and went 1-3. They are 0-6 in quad 1 games, 4-2 quad 2. Rpi-53, sos-93(non conference 255) ouch. They have 1 top 50 win at home against Michigan. 9 of their 11 B1G wins so far are against rpi +100 teams. They are a tourney team by eye test in my opinion unfortunately for them their resume does not

I don't get how a team like Gonzaga always ends up so highly seeded. They play a bunch of bullcrap teams in their bullcrap conference. The only other ranked team they play in conference usually is St Mary's which has, again, only beat up on bullcrap teams. Gonzaga did beat Ohio State earlier in the year (November) but the total resume is not any better than what Nebraska has done.

St Mary's will be an NCAA team (projected 8 seed that I've seen) and the only ranked opponent they've beaten is... Gonzaga.

Entirely possible (likely?) But if I'm USPS and I'm reading that response, I'm thinking "really?"

So, if nothing else, trying to do some preemptive "modding" so that all can understand that sarcasm should be clear, so as not to piss on extremely valued posters who provide fantastic insight.

You and your big head of knowledge, you enjoy proving people wrong, don't you?

I enjoy discussing things I’m passionate about and since I’ve taken lunardi’s bracketology course online from St Joes years ago and have gone through a mock selection with other bracketologist I try to inform people on some misconceptions of the selection process. If you took offense my bad but if someone brings something that isn’t accurate Im going to point it out just like people have done and should done when I wasn’t right in the past.

I apologize people, that was said in fun. Wow did I come off wrong. As i told USPS in another post, I really appreciate what he brings, (HIS BIG HEAD OF KNOWLEDGE). He is a wise one when it comes to college bball and I did not mind being proven wrong at all.

Illinois is 6th in the country in forcing TO a game (17). In Underwood’s press conference he said they thought they could turn green over they were going to attack him

No offense at all, I was just playing. I really appreciate what you bring to the board. I don't mind being proved wrong at all, my wife does it all the time.

It's proven wrong, not proved wrong

No need to apologize for anything. If Lunardi ever offered fundamentals of bracketology as a course again (non-credited) and you have some money to burn I would highly recommend it if you are a junkie like me. It will give you a new perspective on what really goes on in the selection process and how difficult it can be
