Kick player out, 15 yards, and an automatic first down. That's a pretty steep consequence.. that should be revisited.

Unfortunately, our OL isn't really geared to help Lagow because we literally cannot run with the threat of a QB running. Ramsey was fantastic. I do worry about the amount of hits he took today. He was so poised though and turned the jets on, on that run. SPT won that game today, they were fantastic.

I was worried about that too. If possible I'd like to see the staff try and make adjustments to reduce the number of hits he takes.

Our OL is really young. Hopefully they just continue to improve.

With where they're at right now, up is about the only way they can go lol. It seemed like whenever UVA blitzed Ramsey was a goner.

Missed the second half, but thrilled to see we pulled out a relatively comfortable win and thrilled to see that Ramsey had a great game and has hopefully taken over that QB spot. Now before someone accuses me of gloating, let me say this. Lagow is not the right QB for this team, but not all of that is his fault. Our o-line sucks, and we simply need a QB back there that can scramble around and make plays. Not necessarily Lagow's fault, that's just the way it is.

Also, DeBoard clearly has zero clue how to successfully use Lagow. All these quarterback read plays are insanely stupid with a QB who is no threat to keep the ball. Also most of the passing plays are just lobs up to 1v1 coverage Absurd. From what I saw in the first half and seeing the stats, it looks like they did a great job utilizing Peyton's skills. Again, that probably has to do with him fitting in better with the offense they want to run anyways. Hopefully we continue to see Ramsey out there. I know some fans ridiculed ones calling for Ramsey, saying that simply wouldn't happen. Well guess what? Tom Allen isn't Kevin Wilson. And thank God for that. If you don't play good, you get pulled. It worked today. So onto Florida International we go!!

 I've been asking around a lot of different IU sites, groups, friends with somewhat of a connection, and nobody seems to know. It's very odd. He would be a great short yardage option it seems.

Lagow throws an unnecessary pass that gets intercepted. He's pulled and Ramsey plays a pretty good first game.

O$U doesn't appear to be the national title contender we thought they were a week ago.

Ramsey isn't the runner Zander was. Ramsey is a way better passer than Zander. Lagow can't run, period, and makes terrible decisions.

I fear we would have been in a nail bitter if Lagow was allowed to continue to throw the ball in the direction of receivers. (Ours and theirs)

Tom Allen is our current day Hepp (but much better at defensive strategy).  Tons of energy, loves Indiana but in a much better situation in terms of inherited talent.  Glad he's at the helm. 

Ramsey is > Diamont as many pointed out.  Tad less quick, but better passer and won't snap like a twig in a slight breeze.  But I'm not certain he's the guy...YET.  He missed the receiver on a couple out routes that Lagow normally hits (we are comparing a RS-Sr to a RS-Frosh...experience is a factor here too) but will likely come with time.  it doesn't appear that Lagow has improved much from last year.  He still appears scared under pressure which leads to poor decision making and he is still staring down receivers (this one drives me nuts).  QB controversy?  Yup.  Is Ramsey the answer?  Not sure.

Ellison will be very special!  Where the frig is Tyler Natee?  Is he injured?  I didn't see him on the sideline at all...not sure if he even traveled with the team.  It would be nice to have his full-back-esque size when we need 2-3 yards.

UVA started out the game really trying to pick on Fant.  I don't know when people will learn that Fant is one of the best cover-corners in the NCAA. 

It was nice to hear Ball's name called yesterday.  I didn't hear much from him in the OSU game.  Was hoping that it was a fluke and it appears that was the case.

BTW...the UVA campus is beautiful and Scott Stadium is a great place to watch a game.  Friendly fans, great band, solid atmosphere.  Sat next to Ellison's sister.  Very friendly.  It was Military Appreciation Day (Thank you all!).  They interviewed a WWII Vet on the sidelines during a TV timeout.  Very touching/emotional.  Lee Greenwood sang God Bless the USA during the half.  Nice treat. 

Go Hoosiers!  Take care of the non-con softies and prepare for the big boys in conference.  We can't afford to lose the next two.  Period.  Must wins?  Definitely.  If we want to bowl...WE MUST WIN!
