Stuhoo Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 I wonder whether we'll have any interest in newly minted Pitt transfer Malik Ellison. Two years eligibility left; sat last year at Pitt after transferring there from St. Johns. Was pretty good at St. Johns his first two years - physical, strong 6'6" sg. Chose Pitt over UVA and Harvard, so he must be a very good student. chicagoHOOSIER 1 Quote

Josh Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Don't we only have one scholarship available right now? If we take the transfer, we'd have to oversign again for Romeo Quote
Feathery Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Looks like Pitt has 7+ players seeking to transfer. Ouch. chicagoHOOSIER 1 Quote
cljones1979 Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 We have been in contact already! We have 2 with Curtis Jones departureSent from my SM-G955U using BtownBanners mobile app Josh 1 Quote

Wasn't the thinking that we would have one left for Romeo and most people were hoping that McRoberts would be awarded the one vacated by Jones?Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

HoosierFan1994 Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 I'm curious if this team will go after a Big man grad transfer or if they have confidence in De'Ron or one of our freshmen. Quote

Popular Post HoosierAloha Posted March 16, 2018 Popular Post Posted March 16, 2018 We have plenty of bigsPlenty of bigs that can contribute?Davis and Morgan. Morgan can't be the lone "big" on a tourney team. He was fantastic for a big portion of the conference season. However, he can't defend the best bigs nor can he sustain that level of play over the course of a season. The wear and tear is too much for an undersized 5. I don't watch practices but from what I've heard from people, he's been doing a great job in practices and is expected to get solid minutes, but will likely not start, especially to begin his season. The coaching staff has been impressed with his work ethic and his physical ability and his improvement since he's stepped onto campus. pumpfake, thebigweave, ALASKA HOOSIER and 3 others 4 2 Quote

Looking forward to watching him play hopefully 4 years if that is good for him too. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

Way more depth there then at guard Quote

Sent from my SM-G955U using BtownBanners mobile app He will play plenty of the 4. And few 4s play down low exclusively. Just because he's the 4th tallest on the court does it mean he's a post player. We literally only have one post player on our team. d_wilson787 1 Quote

cljones1979 Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 To me Davis is a big and Moore should be a big but doesn't want to be. Not saying we don't have other guys that will play under the basket they are just not bigs to me.Sent from my SM-G955U using BtownBanners mobile app HoosierAloha 1 Quote
