Ah yeah I misread that, he is 2019.  Good thing, Archie has plenty of time to get in on him.

Also I'd really like for Miller to make a last-ditch effort at Darius Garland.  Of course Phinisee should be just as high of a priority, but Garland would be a game-changer.

If Morgan and Davis look great but not good enough to leave we might be able sell him but doubt it. Rather get Phinisee and Romeo tbh

He is a SF/Stretch 4. Morgan is a PF and Davis is a C. I don't think those 2 guys would do anything except help us make the case for him to come. Smith could be a problem if he comes in and plays well.

Agreed. Priller only takes a scholarship for one more year. Jones can contribute. Gelon is the most likely, imo, if someone has to go.

Turnovers are the key! You allow more opportunities for your opponent and less for yourself. Cut those by 35% on average and you are allowing 4-8pts less and in turn hopefully scoring 4-8pts more. That's a possible 16 pt swing. How many games did we lose by 7pts or less? Quite a few!

Our points allowed/game last year was 73.3, 7.5 points more than Archie's average at Dayton and 5.7 more than the most any of Archie's teams averaged per game (67.6 2011-12, Archie's 1st year). Plain and simple, Archie's teams don't allow a lot of points. I know that pace can affect this, but then you look at kenpom (adjusts for pace, right?) and Archie's defenses have simply been better.

 

We also averaged 15.2 turnovers/game. The flyers averaged 12.6 over Archie's tenure and maxed at 14.5/game (2012-13, Archie's second year; notice both maximums came early in his career).

 

Statistically speaking, Archie's teams perform better.  Did it take him time to establish his system, yeah?  If we keep our core though, we could have some hard workers/passionate/experienced players (Collin, TB, Morgan and experienced Newkirk?JBJ/RoJo) who could get the ball rolling more quickly.

 

I don't think it's unrealistic, according to the numbers, to expect a pretty decent-good team next year, if the right guys stay.
