This is the thing that I think people miss when talking about IU not being a top of the line job. This fanbase is enormous and crazy. Recent success is negligible but the weight that this program still holds around the country is pretty impressive. We should shoot for the stars when we do move on. I would've never guessed we were #2 on social media though. That's crazy.

Per the Indianapolis Star IU brought in nearly 100 million in revenue. That isn't all profit so it'd be interesting to see that part, but 100 million a year has to be up there with the top basketball schools. Football schools specially SEC with their own ESPN network probably make a lot but like I said basketball it would have to be towards the top. More evidence of a top program. I feel like the media only pays attention to what they want too. We have one of the biggest fan bases and one of the bigger revenue streams why shouldn't we expect to be good.

Yep that why it is so frustrating when people are ok with average results.

Well, they sure don't play very hard for him.   I can't say whether or not they like or dislike him; but I can say for sure he's lost some of them.

Haven't heard a lot of outpouring of vocal support from past players have we?

I could envision this if he could be 'THE MAN' and possibly enhance his resume.

I'm imagining a high level non-power 5. Creighton, Xavier, Gonzaga type. He would kill it at one of those types of schools and still keep himsef on the radar. I hope he doesn't leave personally, but hope he succeeds wherever he ends up.

So you want him to stay? I am curious as to why?

Anyone see the Tweet from @_TyRogers ? Little off topic but pretty interesting that there is such a large social media following.

The 5 most followed college team Twitter accounts

1. @DukeMBB

2. @IndianaMBB

3. @UMichFootball

4. @AlabamaFTBL

5. @ClemsonFB

UK BB would probably be #1, but most still haven't figure out how to use their computers

Because he's a great scorer and I enjoy watching him play. I don't want him to be forced out by the incompetence of the coach.

I agree those schools would be good for him. He could play anywhere but question is where would he fit the best to boost his stock. Those schools get more notice than middle of the pack power 5 teams though so it would be smart. Zags lose a cpl guys too he could step right in by NWG who is a solid pg. I would choose JBJ over Crean though so hopefully it doesnt happen. Id choose most our kids over Crean honestly though.

Let me ask you this: What will change next year? Our biggest need is a point guard, and Tommy can lay blame wherever he wants, but he didn't bring one in last year, and there isn't one coming next year. His positionless system will be no better next year. Most likely, it will be worse.

We are WAAAYYY too easy to guard and it's getting worse with each game

Boy, do we understand that feeling. So tired of Crean's repeated stupidity.

Situationally, too, Crean has been bothered with the team’s lack of attention to detail. At critical times when opponents have mounted quick runs, the IU coach has been disappointed by forced or quick shots instead of taking time to open more efficent opportunities around the floor.

This quote is exactly opposite of the "everyone has the green light" comments attributed to him and play faster. The idea of valuing possessions is 9 years too late.
