I think the "larger investments" refers to other projects at IU, not Memorial. Missing in this tweet is $50M was approved for maintenance. Then on top of that a $150M capital project was approved and for that money the state has to sign off. I assume they will... IUFB is pretty popular right now. With that high level of maintenance spend, I think they're going to keep the current East and West stand structures. As in this won't be a total rebuild of those stands, just making them nicer. $150M is enough for a new press box and suites. How many seats they add while doing this... who knows. It’s a HUGE, HUGE stretch but I wish that first digit was an 8 or 9. Instead of a 1, so we could build a new stadium. Back to reality…….is Northwestern the only school to build a new stadium since forever ? I can’t think of another one although a bunch of them have spent a ton on expansion etc Quote

Not a well-written article and the headline was misleading. The BOT approved $50 million for renovations and will make a $150 million capital project request to the State for improvements to the stadium. Quote

I doubt any events could be stolen from Lucas Oil up the road. And the North and South endzones were recently built and contain all sorts of nice offices and facilities with lots of lifespan left. New P4 college stadiums aside from Minny I can think of: Baylor (meh) and Kansas is basically a new stadium. Pretty rare. Quote
Hovadipo Posted Saturday at 01:32 PM Posted Saturday at 01:32 PM Not P4, but USF moves into their new digs next fall, San Diego State is new and incredible and UAB is pretty new too. Quote

I mean, after year 1 they’re gonna go back to being 4-8 and drawing 15k to their new stadium and if that’s the the deal why not go a different way and create 1 of the most unique experiences in CFB? I’m sure I’m on an island on that one, but it would have been amazing. Quote
Hoosier987 Posted Saturday at 07:09 PM Posted Saturday at 07:09 PM Any thoughts on how the 10th circuit will rule? What chaos it would bring if they ruled in favor of ncaa regarding 2022 class. Quote
