If we go 9-9 and slip into the tourney fred will extend him even if we lose. He would look at it as a nice turn around from a rough start. I think 20 wins is the magic number for fred. Why do you think he schedules the worst of the worst cupcake teams

Yeah, he's an athletic director who fired our most successful football coach in the last 25 years and fired a soccer coach who won a national championship. He also sought out potential replacements for Crean a couple years ago, but chose to stand pat (something he can't do this year) when the best fits weren't available.

It really is comical how people think Glass is too fond of Crean to fire him or even hurt his feelings.

I think that Glass likes Tom Crean, and that if things are going well he will gladly go to bat for him. But when it's time...

I guess my biggest concern is what exactly Glass considers "doing well." I'm not convinced "consistent national title contender" is where he sets the bar, and I think that's where a lot of us here want him to set it.

Well he was obviously fine with 17-15 and 20-14 seasons back to back seasons since he kept crean on so no consistent national title contender is nothing more than bs out of his mouth. Look at his actions and not his words.

Five years left on contract=ability to stand pat if top choices aren't available.

Three years left on contract=decision time.

Pretty simple.

I believe it is you and I that keep stating this fact over and over and over.

We do so because it is the cold, hard reality of the situation. Crean cannot recruit the next class, 2018, with only two years left on his contract. That is the current situation.

I once talked with a basketball coach who mocked the fans who go to high school games and yell things like "score a basket!" and "go steal the ball!" when their team isn't playing well. I feel like that's what we're dealing with here. "Glass won't fire Crean/Glass loves him some Crean/Crean will be here as long he wants." rinse and repeat.

What's simple is that Glass won't fire Crean no matter what, and that's a fact, pal. Get it through your head. Wake up, sheeple! Jet fuel doesn't melt steel beams, and Crean ain't going no where till we get rid of that damn edumucated lawyer sitting in the AD's office!
