Have to imagine investigation found some other stuff to make the money work out.

I read it that Glass saw improvements in Wilson's behavior and attitude, so gave the extension. But then the same problems arose after that and forced his hand. The Kravitz article almost seems like a personal observation. One I've heard about before on here.

To me, the fact that Wilson didn't fight anything and took the deal speaks volumes.

Really really weird situation. Thanks for your tenure Coach Wilson. It's a real shame that all this happened.

So now we've fired a coach for grabbing a kid's elbow, and fired a coach because he said mean things to injured players. Weird.

So, if the latest Indy Star article is accurate ...... How is Allen not a co-conspirator? If you're in that same doghouse, it seems you'd have a flea or two.

The contract extension and the way the whole thing was handled doesn't bode well for FG IMO.

You never know. Perhaps Allen showed the opposite behavior towards the injured players which might be why FG Glass indicated with his comments about not demeaning kids.

If Allen continues our bowl run then FG will be OK.

Well, that and the alcohol issues around town. Not exactly a man that could get along with admin. The medical issues are a big one, because those can lead to lawsuits. Obviously there is more to it than even we know with the separation package he received. I was one of the few very happy with Kevin Wilson the coach. It sucks, but very obvious the other issues you regularly hear at games came back to bite him.

FG seems to be a pretty patient AD based on how he has let Crean and Wilson build their programs. Neither had quick turnarounds and Creans seat seemed on fire a couple of years back but FG kept with him.

So to let Wilson go after getting to another bowl, clearly Wilson had to have given him plenty of reasons.

I wonder if he wanted to let him go last year but without a successor like Allen available he couldn't sell it. Especially after our first bowl this decade.

Whatever is behind the 'resignation' it's got to be a lot more than the small leaks we've gotten thus far.  We just beat PUke for the 4th year in a row and we're going to a bowl for the 2nd year in a row.  Why not leave him in charge and wait until after the bowl game?  I think it's because there is so much more that FG's investigation uncovered and the 'resignation' just couldn't wait.  We're going to learn more in the next several weeks as more info gets leaked.

The articles in the Star and on ESPN today paint a little clearer picture. The star got access to a lot of information pretty quickly. it seemed as if FG had some new comments as well but it is possible those were just worked in based on the presser.

In a sport where negligence towards injuries has led to serious long term medical issues (CTE), CKW's attitude and words are completely unprofessional and harmful.

His biggest crime was being told by his boss to stop, agreeing to stop, and then continuing the same actions. Ditto to the coach who was fired for "grabbing a players elbow".
