Maybe you need to start backing off and come down off your high horse. This is a Fire Coach Woodson thread and the novelty of your schtick at trying to prop him up has worn very thin with a lot of people.

These problems run WAY DEEPER than two games in November. Getting scolded for being pissed about the direction of the program is maddening AF. I graduated from IU and have been watching this program for over 40 years. K with a C acts as if we all just started watching this season and are a bunch of petulant children because we're seemingly demanding change only because we pooped our pants in the Bahamas. THIS IS NOT JUST ABOUT TWO GAMES IN NOVEMBER!!!

There are people who still support Woody as a coach in any way, shape, or form?! Woody could win the Big Ten and natty this year and I'd still prefer he be gone. As many have said on here Woody shouldn't be coaching at IU and wouldn't have been considered if he didn't play here 100 years ago. The best thing for IU and Woody (sans the $$$ IU pays him) is for him to be retired playing golf every day not coaching playing golf as much as possible. The bigger issue has been and continues to be the administration that lets this stuff happen. It's almost as if some on here knew what was going on and many others caught it early after seeing the **** show that IU basketball has become. Fire Woody, hire the most competent coach without all the political BS.

There you go, playing moderator again... I honestly question your agenda here... you blew in last spring to defend Woodson, Buckner et al... then disappear for 5 or 6 months... until the HH podcast dropped setting Woodson's coaching incompetence and his general demeanor on fire and "poof" here you are again trying to prop up Woodson again... can't tell me there isn't an attempt to spin the narrative here.

I wasn’t onboard the Archie bandwagon. And didn’t think it was a serious hire. But deep down I kinda sorta got the logic. The Woodson hire was so absolutely stupid with not a single bit of sound reasoning.

He committed knowing he would probably play for another coach. He wants to be at IU.

Random people on a free message board in a fire Mike Woodson thread were calling for Woodson to be fired? A little secret for you. No one gives a crap about the why it won’t happen. Doesn’t matter if they know the why they are going to post fire him tomorrow, the next day, the next day and the next day after that. They posted they want him fired when you were in hibernation and they will continue to post they want him fired after you go back into hibernation. Again no one cares about why he won’t get fired mid season they are going to continue to vent their frustrations of having well below college basketball coach run the program they are invested in

Posters shocked that random people on a message board in a Fire Mike Woodson thread on a free message board want Mike Woodson Fired 4years ago, 2 years ago, last week, yesterday, 5 minutes ago will never get old. Is he going to get fired in season? No but who gives a crap if people want to say it. Go for it.

IU coaching situation is like bringing a knife to a gun fight every time they play any tournament quality teams. I’m guessing others coaches are licking their chops anytime they look down the sidelines and see who ius coach is. Reminds me of what Knight said about Dale Brown

Maybe not in those words... but I truly believe that Mike Woodson is interested in trying to salvage his reputation far more than saving the basketball program and/or the university. I honestly believe that if Woodson really wanted to right the ship and save the program that he would avail himself of every tool in the toolbox. But he refuses... he avoided Matta like the plague because he thought/feared that Matta was Dolson's spy. He drove Fife away and surrounded himself with his NBA buddies, none of whom (including Woodson) had any college experience. He has allowed his ego to drive the train, and it is seriously off the track and headed for the ravine. Woodson bristles at any help or suggestion that doesn't come from his brain trust because he thinks that he knows best. He's failed at almost every turn, but continues to dig his heels in with crap like "I did my job" and labeling those who disagree with his tactics as "not true fans". As for Woodson getting things back on track or get out of the way, well, he's failed miserably at that too. He refuses to do any serious recruiting, has made no attempt to reach out to the high school and AAU coaches in Indiana and has decided to rely totally on benefactors buying him a team... but he still can't coach. Instead we get platitudes like "getting them over the hump", "they're new and need to get to know one another" and "gotta work harder". He's beaten the same drum for 3+ years with pathetic results. And Quinn Buckner has done nothing but enable Woodson to get rich from the IU coffers.

Bottom line is Dolson needs to be able to find his man and Buckner get out of way. Also do NOT want a midseason firing as do not want any chance an interim is considered for permanent role like happened with OSU last year or Mike Davis. For those who want this done now consider this and be careful what you wish for. After season, 100% get Woodson out of here and let Dolson find his man.

Cal won a championship in Lexington and UK still knew when to cut him loose (many of their fans would say too slowly). Now they’re back in the top 5 after making a great hire. Must be nice having such competence in their administration and processes. Can’t believe I’m saying that about Kentucky.

No idea what the story here is, but I reached out to a friend who’s pretty connected to Mizzou sports and he shot back, “Didn’t even include him in the class. Nobody ever thought he was coming.” 5-star bball recruiting is bad, but 5-star football recruiting is orders of magnitude worse.
