If he is good enough to be one and done, then he is good enough to be one and done no matter the competition around him.

    2024 IUFB Season

A few numbers to chew on with your morning coffee. IUs NCAA rankings: Total Defense- #3 Total Offense- #11 3rd Down conversion %- #3 3rd Down conversion % Defense- #20 Turnover margin- #3 One of three teams without a TO this season. Yes, the competition has not been stellar, but if you win the 3rd down battles and don't turn the ball over, you're gonna win. I googled it.

ND Basketball is all about Micah Shrewsbury. When Woody retires I fully expect Micah to be the targeted lead candidate to be our next head coach. IU and Micah would be a perfect, perfect match. So if Jalen Haralson chooses ND I understand why. That having been said, gun to my head speculative guess? It’s gonna be IU.

I agree with your wife. The average January high/low in Charlotte is 51/31 which is not exactly what I am looking for at a bowl game. That said it’s so early he is just taking a wild guess and at this point Palm hasn’t come to the realization that our bowl season will begin in the playoffs (what can I say? I have a dream!!).

Say whatever you would like about his coaching acumen (and you know I have!), but he was, and continues to be, a good man. I hope we see him at a game or two this upcoming season.

Our undefeated Hoosiers; let me say that again UNDEFEATED HOOSIERS host the crab cakes from Merryland (3-1) in a game where we'll get our first real look at just how good Cig and the boys are. Early look at Saturday's weather calling for a 60% chance of showers; temp in the low 70's and wind ESE at 10 mph. Radio Live Stats Ain't this a great time to be a Hoosier?

Better than no future cast at all. Hey, at least I respect that more than the guys who wait until an hour before the announcement once everybody else has heard who it is and it's a slam dunk.

He's one of those rare coaches where the won/lost record does not accurately portray the resume. He's improved every team he's taken over and was the lead bench coach for the Celtics. If ND doesn't improve under his watch? Then I'll reassess. But I would expect they will improve.

They’ve effectively killed the basketball version of Mountain West after dark. Me and USPS are in mourning. I hope the Pac-12 honchos have learned their lesson and make the Pac-12 network a little more accessible.

Click on ESPN. The lead (paywalled) story of the ESPN.com front page? The 2024 'surprise stars' offense QUARTERBACK Kurtis Rourke, Indiana. I don't want to alarm anybody, but Indiana -- the Indiana that has won more than eight games in a season just twice and hasn't done so since the Beatles were still together -- now has, per SP+, a 55% chance of finishing the regular season 9-3 or better. And while Curt Cignetti's army of James Madison transfers has played a huge role in that, another newcomer has played an even larger role. ESPN +

I like your thinking but I can’t imagine any scenario where it’s not IU, UConn and The School He’s Not Gonna Pick.

Artie86, I agree with this assessment. Plus, the fact the play calling from the sideline puts the team in a position to boast those type of numbers. In the past the play calling left me scratching my head. Very well coached team and very good coaching preparedness. Let's hope that continues against better coached teams.

I highlighted the most important sentence. This team is obviously better prepared and more grounded for games like these less than stellar teams. This team is very well coached! In decades past, we let those teams play with us because we either took our foot off the gas, got over confident or just plain overlooked them. So far this season, I see zero indications of this! GO IU!

I'm not sure what Dana Altman can say to him after his IU visit. The one to one with Kenya Hunter prior to the visit was huge and Sisley and he connected well so I heard. I'm feeling like he may be next.

Yup, and I will never forget that he took on that dumpster fire when the Tony Bennett’s of the world wanted no part of it. Nothing but respect for the guy.
