It’s just another pro league for the Euros. They play with younger guys all the time. I keep harping on it, but 1) the schools should ditch the NCAA and 2) keep any new rules they make with a strong focus on being paired with the traditional American path of universities being pre job market training intuitions of 19-22 year olds. This is a tragedy of the commons situation where if you let the individual teams bring over 25yr old euros/current pros they will, but it is better off for everyone long term if nobody does.

I'm all for Will Wade getting his comeuppance, but how is that possible? What on earth is going on there?

This is the kind of stuff that (1) pi$$e$ me off, and (2) I truly don't understand. What's the deal with grown men who have been playing professionally for several years being eligible to play "amateur" (??) college basketball with 17- and 18-year old kids? "Fairness" notwithstanding, what's the deal with this?

https://www.on3.com/teams/kentucky-wildcats/news/kentucky-mark-pope-meeting-marcio-santos/ Pretty gross if true. The “kid” will turn 24 before the season starts and Maccabi Tel Aviv is an elite program not some Latvian 4th division backwater.

Boston College transfer Fred Payne has committed to Oregon. The 6-foot-1 guard out of Grambling, Louisiana spent three seasons at Boston College, redshirting one. He averaged 15.8PPG, 4.2RPG, 2.7APG and 1.1SPG in 2025-26. -
All that I've seen says they didn't think the AD would allow the coach to sit for a transfer. They have a very mid Tulsa transfer that would have to start until their QB2 comes back from his ACL injury which they are saying at best is in game 3 against Houston. Reports say he just started throwing this week.
-
Ghost Transfer rule would mean their coach would have to sit out what half the season? Given their schedule is mostly a joke that might be worth it
-
So how many quarterbacks is Texas Tech tampering with now that they've got $5M to spend and a starting position to offer?

Did you read about that deal? Apparently he signed his NIL commitment paperwork with KU the day before his UK visit and took the visit just to troll them. So, basically, the Dylan Harper/IU move. I’m down with UK being punked as much as the next guy but that kid’s an a$$hole and there’s a reason he’s been at a million schools.

I'm sure we do. And those that are active, especially any gambling on their own sport, are being incredibly dumb. Don't see why it's not against team rules during the season at the very least. It's their right to piss away money and risk their futures though.

Yeah, watched some of his stuff a couple of days ago. Very good player, and I imagine that given their misses over the last couple of weeks Pope will be writing a money-is-no-object check to that kid. -

There is no good reason for athletes to gamble on sports, especially their own sport. Zero. I'd hope none of our players have any active accounts on those platforms. If they haven't already, every school better be looking into this stuff. Another blight on modern sports

The picture of the FanDuel app on Marsh's phone wasn't necessarily proof of anything, but I would be shocked if the above didn't happen as soon as that picture circulated. Cig and the IUAD are wayyyy too buttoned up to not nip that as soon as it popped up.
