RBB89 Posted September 17, 2016 Author Posted September 17, 2016 Eh it's different went it's on the ground and not hanging from the rafters. It's still huge, but it's a perspective thing too. Quote
RBB89 Posted September 17, 2016 Author Posted September 17, 2016 Also, there are a good amount of IU fans showing their asses on the Internet by whining about a donor's name being on the scoreboard. Way to spit on a $40 million gift. Also, it was announced TWO YEARS AGO. Class of '66 Old Fart, FortWayneHoosier, IU Hoosier41 and 1 other 4 Quote
HoosierAloha Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 What's the size of that? Was looking to place one on the side of the mountain so all of Honolulu could watch a "how to" video on driving. IU Hoosier41, RBB89, FortWayneHoosier and 4 others 7 Quote

Football is getting two new boards in the upcoming renovation. The current one at MS is only 6 years old.The old one at AH though, yeesh. That thing got passed by a loooong while ago. Popular Post AKHoosier Posted September 17, 2016 Popular Post Posted September 17, 2016 Slightly off tangent but not really - I think Fred Glass is really helping IU athletics make strides where he can. He may not be able to directly produce wins on the court, field, etc., but he's making sure our athletic teams have what it takes to compete and keep up with the joneses. You really can't take that for granted. Tom White, RBB89, Hoosierfan2017 and 8 others 11 Quote

I think a lot of the criticism comes from people, myself included, who love IU basketball and football but don't really care about IU's other sports very much. He's doing exactly what an athletic director should do, I just care about iufb and iubb more than IU athletics as a whole so a lot of the things he does go unnoticed. I don't like the new name at all, but it's whatever. When you donate $40 million that's what you get to do. At least "assembly hall" is still included. HoosierAloha and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote

Never Daunted Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Dumb question does anyone know if, with all the technology being poured into this renovation, there will be a feature that allows for video to be played on the court as some colleges have? I think that is so cool and would be a wow factor for fans and recruits alike mtocco and HoosierTrav 2 Quote
RBB89 Posted September 27, 2016 Author Posted September 27, 2016 You can (briefly) see the work being done in the north lobby here. New escalators there too. HoosierAloha 1 Quote
