Josh Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 Is there anybody left that likes Pagano? And maybe by extension...Jim Irsay? They both gotta go. I'm ready to see what his girls can do. Only Pagano can turn a blowout into a blowout. And have nobody surprised about it. Quote
TheWatShot Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 Forgot there was a game tonight. Amazing how a bad coach can make a team I was once so passionate about seem so irrelevant to me. Glad the Titans got that late score. Makes the second half numbers nail for Pagano's coffin even sharper. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
Josh Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 Andrew Luck had a surgery that was supposed to take 6-9 months to recover from. It's now been more than 9 months and Luck has counted himself out for next week too. He was on the PUP list in the preseason, meaning he would have to be removed by the start of the season to avoid missing 6 weeks minimum. He's now missed 6 going on 7. What's going on here? It seems like the Colts removed him from the pup in anticipation of getting him back before now. Now that deadline is gone too. Perhaps they keep expecting it but Luck can't heal? Or won't? I'm beyond frustrated at this team. Because my local Colts friends aren't here tonight, you get to hear me vent. There's little good with this franchise right now. ThompsonHoosier 1 Quote

I read somewhere earlier this month they were looking at Week 8 or 9. Personally I hope he doesn't play. You know if he does, he'll drag to the team to a few ugly wins against this garbage division and probably save Pagano's job. Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 Another disgusting display. Brissett isn't that bad really. Just a weak team and a terrible staff. Mack has potential. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners Quote
TheWatShot Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 LOL, the AFC South is so pathetic. Knowing the Colts are now 2-4, I figured they have to be at least 2 games out of first now, right? Nope. Texans, Jags and Titans are all 3-3. Only division in the NFL with no winning records. Pagano should give part of his salary to those organizations; they're a big reason he's survived this long. They had to be thinking earlier than this or they wouldn't have removed him from the pup list. I think it's fair to say that he's progressing much much less than doctors and coaches have anticipated. I think it's fair to say that he's progressing much much less than doctors and coaches have anticipated. If you're on the PUP list, you don't get to do anything with the team for the first 6 weeks. His first practice would have been tomorrow at the earliest. I still think Irsay is dragging it out because he knows this season is shot and there's little upside in playing him. Or maybe that's me just hoping against all hope the mad scientist running this show still has an adequate number of brain cells left. Cam Newton having a much less invasive procedure and struggling when he came back probably didn't give them much reason to hurry Luck back, either. Quote
Josh Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 He's way behind a medical diagnosis whether it came from the Colts or media or Luck himself. This labrum tear is almost to 2 years now. Luck isn't progressing as expected. Who knows why exactly, but the Colts have been going by medical diagnosis for almost two years now. Quote
TheWatShot Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 85-22 Those are the fourth quarter numbers in Colts games this year. The Colts are the lower number, in case anyone wondered. Josh 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 I can't find it now, but there was a comment from Matt Hasselbeck a day or two ago who's at practice almost every day and while Luck's showing improvement, per Hasselbeck, he's nowhere near game ready. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 Since I'm handing out long distance dedications this morning, this one goes out to the Colts for their less than mediocre second half play this season. Quote
biteoftheapple Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 I think everyone knows replacing Pagano would benegit the yeam. In game decisions are often bad ones. But, he was also handcuffed with Grigson in charge pf personnel. And to some, extent Irsay, as well Quote

Why did they keep lying about it? Ridiculous Ticket sales. They're losing fan support and have been for almost two years now. Fans have become apathetic because they know Pagano stinks and the team has little upside. Ruling Luck out for the season before the first game results in even more apathy and empty seats. If you ask me, this has all been calculated. They knew Luck wasn't playing any time soon, but Irsay says there's a chance he could play in the opener just so people don't abandon ship before the first game. They take him off the PUP list a whole 30 minutes before the deadline so they can sell the hope he'll play before the sixth game, or at the very least be allowed to practice with the team. Then, to avoid making themselves look totally incompetent, they slip him into a few practices before six weeks has elapsed. Now, with the sixth game behind us, he just happens to have a setback and won't practice again for awhile. I don't blame them at all for doing this, and I certainly don't care if people feel betrayed because the Colts may not have been 100% honest. Pagano needed to be gone two years ago, the Colts need Luck at his healthiest and best, and they desperately need the talent higher picks could provide because Grigson was so dreadful at his job.
